Serve as an IT Project Manager responsible for successful project planning, implementation, and closeout. Responsibilities include:
All areas of Project Management from initiation through closeout, ensuring the successful execution of the project in support of government customer’s mission, goals and objectives.
Responsible for the management, scheduling, and coordination ofprojects activities, and staff assignments.
Provides leadership to a cross-functional team, managing team resource assignments, projected task completion dates, prioritizing activities based on customer requirements and SLAs.
Document and track the project lifecycle in ServiceNow PPM.
Produce and provide rough orders of magnitude and estimates for projects requiring surge resources.
Oversees individual IT projects from identification of requirements, analysis and design, development, end-user testing, deployment, and production support.
Document and manage all issues and risks, developing and maintaining a risk register and mitigation plan.
Facilitate all necessary project meetings, to include requirements gathering, project kick-off, technical exchange meetings, design review, project status meeting, project closeout meetings and all ad-hoc and post-mortem meetings necessary.
Work across the program to manage the transition of projects from engineering to O&M.
Provide appropriate reporting and drive towards on time delivery by working directly with stakeholders.
Provide recommendations for process development and improvement.
Contribute to documentation in the Knowledge Base, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), work instructions, and job aids.
More About the Role:
Track and manage initiatives, deliverables, customer relations, and project management reviews.
Develop and produce documentation, reports, and presentation slide decks.
Prepare and present briefing materials to staff, executives, and federal customers. Interactions involve client meetings and interfacing with senior management.
Supports in the development of special project ROMs including solution development
Works cooperatively with engineering leads to plan and direct tasks based on priority and manpower availability..
Communicates effectively with a wide variety of technical and non-technical audiences.
Exercises broadly delegated authority for planning, directing, coordinating, administering, and executing many routine and complex projects
Responsible for leading and executing projects in a SCRUM Agile environment
Supports story development, testing and training with stakeholders
Required Qualifications:
Ability to obtain a DHS Entrance on Duty (EOD)
BA/BS + 8 years of experience (minimum 5 years of related work experience in IT)
PMP Certified
Experience with Microsoft Project and Visio
Experience with ServiceNow ITSM and ITBM
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with ServiceNow CSM, WSD and Custom Applications (ServiceNow System Administrator Certification Preferred)
