What You’ll Get to Do Fill in this section:

In this position you serve as the Software Tester & Quality Assurance Specialist responsible for verification and validation of ServiceNow products associated with delivery of customer-defined systems and software applications.

More About the Role Fill in this section:

  • Develop and executing test plans, test cases, and test scripts for integration, functional, regression and user acceptance testing to identify system and software problems and their causes, record defects and reporting the results of testing.

  • Develop and implement quality assurance methodologies to ensure compliance with quality assurance standards, guidelines, and procedures.

  • Work closely with developers, business analysts, and product owner to define testing approach for validating requirements against developed software.

  • Collaborate with Product Owners to understand product specifics and create test strategies.

  • Participate in product backlog grooming, sprint planning, product demonstrations and sprint retrospectives.

  • Execute test cases, document results and track issues to completion.

  • Define test methodology requirements in the form of user stories.

  • Map test cases to user stories and acceptance criteria.

  • Estimate tasks required for testing activities.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications Fill in this section:

  • Ability to attain DHS EOD

  • BA + 6 years’ applicable experience, AA + 8 years’ applicable experience, MA + 3 years applicable experience or 12 years’ experience

  • Experience with functional testing, integration testing, system testing, and user acceptance testing.

  • Experience supporting incremental software development projects using an Agile Scrum approach to test a broad range of software solutions.

  • Ability to create test plans, test procedures, user stories, change requests and problem reports.

  • Experience interacting with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Scrum Masters and Developers

  • Ability to apply test estimation techniques to software development efforts

  • Experience using JIRA, Confluence, and Service Now

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have Fill in this section:

  • Technical certification in software testing such as Certified Associate in Software Testing (CAST)

  • Experience testing mobile applications

  • 5O8 Compliance experience
