CACI’s Business and Information Technology Solutions (BITS) Sector is seeking a Test Engineer to support the Integrated Public Alert and Warning System (IPAWS) test laboratory environment. In this role, you’ll support the FEMA IPAWS mission to provide integrated services and capabilities to federal, state, local, tribal, and territorial (FSLTT) authorities that enable them to effectively alert and warn their respective communities via multiple communication methods.

The IPAWS team is looking for a Test Engineer with 10 years of experience in System Testing, Quality Assurance, Test Scripts, Test Plans and Test Cases and Scenarios for both manual and automation testing. The applicant must have the ability to adapt in an agile environment, possess excellent communication skills, report writing skills, time management skills, and effectively multi-task. This new teammate will also possess critical-thinking skills to plan and execute projects, solve problems, and build collaborative relationships. Responsibilities

  • Provide manual and automated testing using multiple software platforms.

  • Subject Matter Expertise to the IPAWS Technical Support Services (TSS) Business Management Sector in software test plan and executing Functional, Regression, Performance testing.

  • Develop comprehensive test plans and strategies to include objectives, scope, and milestones. Evaluate equipment, systems, and software to ensure they meet customer standards and requirements. Initiate and define test criteria, acceptance criteria and preferred methodologies in System Development Lifecycle (SDLC)

  • Design and implement tests – create and review test cases and scripts for manual and automated testing. Record and analyze data to identify deficiencies and areas for improvement.

  • Document and report defects or issues discovered during testing and collaborate with customer’s Engineering team to ensure a timely resolution.

  • Conduct and execute regression testing verifying software changes are compatible with existing functionalities.

  • Conduct in-depth research on existing and future NextGen ATCS 3.0 technologies.

  • Conduct in-depth research on existing AI techniques and technologies applicable to sign language recognition and generation and collaborate with cross-functional teams including software engineers, UX/UI designers, and accessibility experts to integrate AI platforms into existing emergency alert systems.

  • Perform database design, application, and software quality assurance testing.

  • Document research findings, methodologies, and technical specifications for internal and external dissemination.

  • Lead or support initiatives that ensure the day-to-day functionality of the facility and program deliverables. Prepare documents to support all the evidence that represents completed testing.

  • Prepare to review and walk-through customers on test results outcome for all testing performed.

  • Perform other duties as assigned and/or required.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications and Skills

Strong Knowledge of:

  • SQL/PL, XML, JAVA, HTML, JavaScript and PL

  • APIs, JIRA, Git, Power BI and Salesforce

  • Oracle and AWS

  • Testing Tool platforms (TestNG, LoadRunner, Selenium)

  • Highly detail oriented; data-driven

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Critical thinking and communication skills

  • Flexible and willing to work independently.

  • Ability to understand technical documents, user stories to develop Functional, Regression and Performance test plans.

  • Ability to be hands-on in this role to develop professional documentation and other written materials.

  • Ability to adapt to changing business processes, technologies, and environments.

  • Work as an integral part of agile scrum team and be flexible to support the team.

  • Ability to adapt to changing business processes, technologies, and environments. Provide support to customers during the User Acceptance phase.

  • As required, provide updates to the deliverables identified for the test team.

  • Intermediate to Expert in all aspects of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams especially).

  • Candidate for or bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field

These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have

  • Ability to synthesize information and produce documentation (e.g., Standard Operating Procedures, professional correspondence, peer-reviewed publications).

  • Comfort with facilitating audiences to scale and desired content.

  • Experience crafting and sending AWNs.

  • PMP

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$78,700 - $165,300
