CACI is seeking a Windows Server Administrator (Cloud) to join our cloud operations team on a contract supporting cloud solutions at the Department of Homeland Security. The Windows Server Administrator (Cloud) is primarily focused on cloud server systems administration and technical support, response to monitoring alerts and management of incidents to resolution in a 24/7/365 environment. They will quickly identify issues impacting production, troubleshoot, resolve incidents, document for root cause analysis, complete requests, and maintain servers.
About the Role:
Serve as a Cloud Operations member responsible for troubleshooting and maintenance. Responsibilities include:
Manage, install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain Windows Servers hosted on AWS and Azure.
Set up Windows development environment to support software integration.
Support and maintain application software running on Windows in AWS and Azure cloud.
Control access permissions and privileges. Ensure storage and archiving procedures are implemented and functioning correctly.
Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve issues with IT infrastructure including user systems, servers, storage and network connectivity.
Ensure compliance of current security policies and remediations.
Apply modern configuration management practices to endpoint management.
Proactively monitor and measure systems performance to detect trends and catch problems before users are impacted.
Respond to systems alerts, triage, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents.
Work closely with other support teams to ensure incident events are handled in a timely manner.
Handle incoming technical escalations from Tier I.
Document, track, and coordinate incidents in ServiceNow.
Join troubleshooting bridge calls for major incidents.
Communicate directly with system owners as necessary, to resolve issues and complete requests.
Assist with postmortem related activities and support various efforts related to operational improvements.
Based on recommendations from management, implement new and improved processes, change processes, perform new tasks, create reports, and address ad-hoc requests.
Contribute to documentation in the Knowledge Base, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), work instructions, and job aids.
Conduct knowledge-sharing sessions with more junior members of the team.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Ability to obtain DoD Security Clearance
Ability to obtain Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Entry On Duty (EOD) - Active EOD preferred
BA/BS + 8 years of applicable experience
Any relevant Microsoft Windows Server administrator certification
ITIL Foundation certification (not required to start but expected to attain in first six months)
Work on-call rotation to respond to incident escalations
Expert troubleshooting of Windows Server operating system
Strong scripting and PowerShell skills
Experience building, configuring, hardening Windows servers
Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure
Experience using Service Now service management software (or similar tool) to document incidents and service requests
Experience using JIRA (or similar tool) to document work
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous DHS or DoD experience
