CACI International Software Development Intern - Summer 2021 in Nationwide, Virginia

Job Description

CACI is currently seeking Software Development Interns for Summer 2021 to join our team in our Sterling, VA, office.

What You’ll Get to Do:As an Intern, you’ll work on a team that is producing mission critical software for the DoD. Our software is used worldwide, with a growing user base. You’ll be working in Java 8, ReST, and other enterprise technologies. You may also be exposed to mapping software, frontend technologies such as Angular and JavaScript, continuous integration and automated testing tools such as Jenkins, and JUnit. Candidates should be comfortable operating in all phases of the application lifecycle. Use of industry-proven design patterns and open source tools is encouraged. This position requires a combination of supporting existing applications as well as new development work.More About the Role:

You will be exposed to a variety of technologies including:

  • Java 8 (including ReST web services)

  • Groovy

  • Agile Software Development, Open Source Application Development and Contributions

  • User Interface (UI) Development (HTML, JSP, MVC Frameworks, Angular, Grails)

  • Distributed Messaging (e.g., Apache Camel and JMS)

  • Continuous Integration and Source Management (e.g., Jenkins, GIT)

  • Postgres

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Must currently be enrolled in High School OR a full-time Undergraduate, Graduate, or Doctorate student

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance (if applicable to position)

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • If Undergraduate or Graduate, pursing a degree in Software Development or related field is preferred, not required

  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred, not required

  • Previous internship/co-op or other work experience, leadership and teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, and activities (professional/community/extracurricular)
