What You’ll Get to Do:
CACI is seeking a multifunctional software developer join our Naval Tactical Command Support System (NTCSS) team at Norfolk. The selected candidate has knowledge of and experience in developing C#, C/C++ based client applications as well as Linux based server-side solutions. This individual will also develop installation packages and create upgrade paths for system updates.
The selected candidate can work effectively in a highly collaborative environment. We are seeking someone who can take the initiative by identifying solutions to problems and can influence team members to implement them. We are seeking a candidate who can take the responsibility for creating work proposals / technical documentation and perform other related project type duties which may include administering the resources required to execute project.
More About the Role:
Other duties include-
Automating system administration and database functions and integrates middleware components for a Linux based Platform as a Service (PaaS) environment.
Assisting in identification of security vulnerabilities and remediates them with oversight. Adheres to applicable DoD STIGs (secure technical implantation guides) when developing software.
Promoting software development best practices and identifies specific areas for process improvement.
Applying a “system of systems” approach when performing systems engineering functions (such as creation of requirement and design documentation, or analysis of impacts to existing system functionality and interfaces for potential modifications).
Providing deep level technical support for end users.
Providing status of tasking to project leads and management.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
SECRET clearance - must be current.
DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 certification or higher (ex. CompTIA Security+, CASP, CISSP or related).
Meet T5, IT-I requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and 8 years + of related experience.
Knowledge and ability to develop with the following development software tools: C, C++, TSQL, Visual Studio in multiple operating system environments (Red Hat, Windows, VMWare).
Knowledge and ability to program accessing and manipulating RDBMS (Sybase preferred). Knowledge and ability to develop Linux based scripts (e.g. bash, sh, Perl, python).
Knowledge of and ability to harden ports and protocols used for multi-factor authentication of users.
Ability to create software installation packages
Ability to apply concepts and technologies associated with computer science and software engineering. (Systems Engineering, Systems Integration, Configuration Management, Requirements, Database Design/Development, IA Best Practices and Coding for Secure Systems).
Ability to perform complex problem solving across multiple OS and network environments.
Ability to effectively use oral and written communications to convey ideas and concepts, explain rationale, and provide recommendations.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
- Knowledge of PowerBuilder development
