CACI International COBOL Programmer Analyst / Requirements (Secret - Norfolk, VA) in Norfolk, Virginia
CACI is currently seeking a COBOL Developer/Analyst Requirements to provide researching, designing, developing and/or modifying software systems of legacy programs. Presents ideas for system improvements. Develops cost estimates for software developments or enhancements. Conducts impact analysis for software changes. Produces detailed specifications and writes software code. Works closely with business analysts, designers, and subject matter experts to understand functional requirements. Conducts unit tests and documents findings.. Work is associated with the development, fielding and support of a large family of shore-based maintenance applications. Work will be performed in Norfolk, VA. What You’ll Get to Do:
Research, evaluate, and fix aborts in the COBOL programs.
Determine whether changes requested in the COBOL programs are feasible.
Analyze and document the COBOL programs because the original documentation has been lost.
Write System Design Documents (SDDs) for COBOL programs that have never been written.
Update current SDDs to conform with the current code.
Peer Review documents for MAT analysts, ensuring the documents conform to the programs and meet documentation standards.
Qualifications You Will Bring:
Typically has a University Degree (BA/BS) or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years of related work experience
Minimum of 10 years of COBOL programming experience.
Must have an ACTIVE SECRET clearance (US Citizenship required)
These are nice to haves:
- Familiarity with PL/SQL, Toad, AppWorx, UNIX, Oracle Forms and Reports.
