CACI is looking for a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Network Systems Support for the installed Medical Treatment Facility (MTF) network and other installed DoD networks on the USNS COMFORT (T-AH-20), with strong interpersonal and communication skills as well as a record of accomplishment in successful project execution.
The IT Network SME will be responsible for managing the day to day operation of the networks and provides SME oversight to the (Military Detachment (MilDet) technicians as required. The IT Network SME must understand multiple and specific hardware and operating system configurations and incorporate design elements into the overall network structure. The IT Network SME will translate customer requirements into a best fit within the MTF and will identify the optimal configuration to support mission requirements. The IT Network SME will contribute to the overall strategic vision and will integrate a broad range of ideas regarding implementation and support. The IT Network SME will provide expertise and be sought as a resource for resolution of unique or complex implementation and support problems. The IT Network SME will Undertakes the most complex implementation and support projects involving multiple disciplines and may impact multiple businesses. Interfaces with Tier 3 support activities for issues regarding the installed MTF network.
The project is within CACI's Healthcare Delivery Systems portfolio.
Position will deploy internationally with the USNS COMFORT (T-AH-20) for missions and the USNS COMFORT (T-AH-20) can be underway for 6 months or more. You must be willing to deploy with the ship as embedded contractor support staff for that duration.
What You’ll Get to Do:
Provide Tier I and Tier II support for embedded medical systems onboard USNS COMFORT (T-AH-20)
Act as primary Tier III liaison for any external support requirements onboard USNS COMFORT (T-AH-20)
Develop and maintain SA guidelines, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Network Architecture diagrams as they pertain to the Medical Application suite.
Perform routine hardware maintenance/troubleshooting and operating system upgrades for the MTF network.
Liaison with MSC N6x and BUMED IT Programs Office in order to maintain common configuration elements required for successful operation of the medical applications installed on the MTF network.
Perform customer support services with onboard MTF network users
Provide initial training on MTF operations to new staff embarked
Provide SME support in interfacing any tenant or NGO activity’s equipment if slated for deployment onboard the vessel.
Perform life cycle management of assigned assets
Develop Service Level Agreements (SLAs) that define requirements/expectations for customers
Harden the network IAW with IA standards/mandates
Perform functions found in TDL-20 as directed by the Contracting Officer Representative (COR)
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Be able to fully design, document, set-up/configure, and troubleshoot Local Area Networks (LANs), to include router and L2/L3 switch configurations, Internet Protocol (IP) assignments, VLAN instantiation, and hardware and software selection and installation.
Experience with Windows XP SP3, Windows 7 (32 and 64 bit), and Windows Server 2008 R2 required. Experience with Windows 10 SHB, Windows Server 2012 and sever 2016 are preferred
Be able to support and be knowledgeable in the following areas:
Unix
Linux
CISCO ISO
JUN OS
Virtual machines using VMWARE and Hypervisor
Install, load, maintain, upgrade, test, troubleshoot, and provide IA support for the MTF networks.
Accomplish user setup and initial training as requested.
Provide Network Administrative support for all elements of the MTF network
As requested, act as a technical action coordinator for the MilDet personnel supporting the MTF network
Utilize Retina and ACAS for vulnerability scanning purposes
Evaluate performance issues within the MTF network and provide corrective action plans
Provide IT Performance and IA posture metrics at least quarterly and as required by direction of COR
Accomplish all IA corrective and mitigation actions as required to support attainment and maintenance of all ATOs.
Interface with external activities and act as POC for any planned upgrades, additions or removals, of any equipment or applications on the MTF network
Provide support for Networking issues to the Medical Applications SME in support of application installation and operation.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense SECRET security clearance.
Education and Experience:
3-6 Years experience
Required Education: BS
Desired Education: Masters
Valid IAT-3 certification
You may substitute experience for degree permitted (7+ years relevant experience required in this case)
