CACI International Navy Maintenance Business Analyst in Norfolk, Virginia
CACI has a full-time position for a senior Navy Maintenance Business Analyst team member to provide technical support for a U.S. Navy customer at the Commander, Naval Regional Maintenance Center in Norfolk, VA.
Specific responsibilities include supporting government senior managers in diverse information technology programs that are critical to mission accomplishment and support surface ship maintenance.
Responsible for defining and developing business plans, processes, policies, roles and responsibilities, communication, and performance metrics. Your role may include developing strategic plans and transition plans, conducting research and analyses of business practices, performing cost/benefit analyses, implementing process improvements, designing and implementing metrics, strategies and plans. Your day typically includes:
Development of the Executive Availability Status Report (EASR)) from the Ship Maintenance Data Improvement Initiative (SMDII) dashboard
Using your knowledge of Navy Maintenance Database (NMD) and business objects- develop reports, develop the specific queries necessary to produce the report and gaining leadership consensus on the type of information the report needed
Producing inputs for the standard availability execution report in NMD and in the enterprise data analytics platform
Metrics Development, Analysis and Support
Database Programming-supporting the programming and design configuration of maintenance databases
Business Objects functional support
SharePoint workflow creation and troubleshooting -Including workflows created using NINTEX 2013.
An active Secret or higher-level clearance
Navy Surface Ship Maintenance experience required- Maintenance Data Systems
Candidate will have knowledge of Navy maintenance business processes, legacy maintenance systems; maintenance data file interfaces and communications.
Experience in providing senior management data and metrics for the monitoring of Memorandum of Agreements (MOAs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) in the surface ship maintenance and repair business processes and logistical support
Experience developing executive level reports incorporating Metrics developed from Navy Maintenance Data systems.
Background in defining and developing business plans, processes, policies, roles and responsibilities, communication, and performance metrics. Experience in this area should include developing strategic plans and transition plans, conducting research and analyses of business practices, performing cost/benefit analyses, implementing process improvements; designing and implementing communication strategies and plans; and facilitating organizational change to improve organizational performance and service levels.
Excellent communication skills and experience dealing with senior military and civilian staff
U.S. Navy Surface Ship Maintenance Background and familiar with Navy Surface Maintenance process, the requirements that influence the processes, the critical Maintenance Data items, and the end to end Maintenance Systems that are used by O, I, and D level Maintenance Activities.
Programming skillsets-supporting the programming and design configuration of maintenance databases.
Experience in Microsoft SharePoint Site collection development and management –Site Collection Administrator
Business Objects – mid level experience at a minimum
Typically requires Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or other related scientific or technical discipline or 10 or more years of related experience.
-Ideal candidate would have surface ship regional maintenance center or Naval Shipyard background
-Use of HTML and Cascading Style sheet mark-up language
-Increasing responsibilities in design and/or maintenance of complex systems. Familiar with Design and Development processes as well as familiarization with the design and development of databases.
- Progressive experience with integrated systems related to U.S. Navy fleet maintenance.
