Job Description

What You’ll Get to Do:

You’ll be joining an elite team of subject matter experts supporting Military Sealift Command’s Ship Type Desk Support Program. You’ll be able to challenge yourself with performing Fleet Sustainment activities by ship type.

More About the Role:

  • Maintain accurate shipboard system/equipment configuration and ashore allowance baselines at both the class and individual ship level.

  • Research, submit, track and validate requisitions and material required to support ship mission, repair, ashore allowances and shipboard allowance requirements.

  • Perform task administration, team training and quality assurance activities

  • Assist in developing maintenance sparing levels (afloat/ashore) to improve system/equipment Operational Availability.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Secret clearance

  • High school diploma or GED

  • 12 years of experience providing ship acquisition or fleet sustainment logistics support services to MSC, the U.S. Navy, the U.S. Coast Guard, or commercial ship operating companies.

  • 6 years experience executing ship acquisition and fleet sustainment support services utilizing any of the following systems: MSC/Navy /Coast Guard/Commercial databases/systems such as CLIP/CMLS, ShipCLIP, WinMASP, NTCSS, CDMD-OA, SCLSIS, MERLIN, Inter-Active Computer Aided Provisioning System (ICAPS) or IHS Haystack.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Knowledge of Engineering Systems Configuration

  • Fluent in Microsoft Access, Excel, Word

  • Creative Forward-Thinker
