CACI is looking for experienced Project Leads to support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) through the modernization efforts away from antiquated legacy and Commercial of the Shelf (COTS)/ Government off the Shelf (GOTS) Systems with disjointed capabilities. These include advancement of the maturity of the Supply Chain Management Product Line through compliance with the DevSecOps process, SAFe implementation and/or other Office of Information & Technology initiatives; continuous support of the Agile iterative build and development methodology to complete all epics and user stories identified in the backlog; resource provision for site data mapping, extraction, transformation, migration, analytics, and validation from VA legacy systems such as AEMS/MERS, General Inventory Package, and Maximo to DMLSS, LogiCole and other systems; and support for the migration of any product line products not already in the cloud from the current environment to the VAEC Cloud environment.
More About the Role
You will assist in leading the program. You will be responsible for working with the customer to align scope and set expectations., coordinating your team’s actions across the overall program, sprint planning, scope, risk and schedule management and troubleshooting. This position will involve analyzing new and complex project related problems and creating innovative solutions involving finance, scheduling, technology, methodology, tools, and solution components in coordination with other teams and the Program Management Office (PMO).
Strong understanding of software development life cycle models including both Agile and traditional project management principles and practices with the ability to blend them together in the right proportions to fit a project and business environment.
A proven track record of successfully implementing software or web development projects using Agile methodologies including 3+ years of experience as a Project Lead managing complex projects in a high-tech development environment with multi-function teams.
Prior experience with SCRUM/Agile methodologies with enterprise-level application development projects. PMI-ACP, CSM, or equivalent preferred
Experience overseeing multi-function project teams including Developers, Business Analysts, and QA Personnel
Balanced business/technical background
Technical background to provide highly credible leadership to development teams and ability to evaluate complex project risks and issues accurately and objectively.
Ability to provide leadership to business analysts and collaborate with customers and develop strategies and solutions of high business value.

You must demonstrate exceptional oral and written communication skills. You will communicate with internal and external parties of your job function, including customers, vendors, or sub-contractors. You will work to influence project/team leaders within and outside of the job function at project/program regarding solution design, process, and/or approaches.
The minimum education requirement is a BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Systems, Business or related scientific or technical discipline, as well as 10 years of work experience. Substitute 8 years’ experience for education.
US Citizen with the eligibility to pass a T3/T3R background investigation
Effective interpersonal skills including mentoring, coaching, collaborating, and team building
Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills with an ability to manage competing demands
In-depth knowledge and understanding of business needs with the ability to establish/maintain high level of customer trust and confidence
Proven ability to lead software development projects and ensure objectives, goals, and commitments are met
Solid understanding of and demonstrated experience in using appropriate tools:
Agile Project Management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, and Microsoft Teams
Microsoft Project, Visio, and all Office Tools
These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have
Program Management Professional (PMP)
Experience with DMLSS
Medical Logistics background
Familiarity with the Agile methodologies such as Safe.
Knowledge of Medical Logistics, Veteran’s Administration, and or Supply Chain Management
Excellent oral and written communications skills and experience interacting with both business and IT individuals at all levels including the executive level
Creative approach to problem-solving with the ability to focus on details while maintaining the “big picture” view
