We are seeking a Field Support Systems Engineer to deploy and maintain systems based out of Oak Harbor, WA.
What You’ll Get to Do :
Execute the research, engineering, and development of solutions to support operational systems
Develop releasable solutions in a specified timeframe and budget
Refine and enhance existing applications to best meet customer/operational requirements
Optimize legacy operational software as necessary to meet continuously evolving cyber security
Apply system level knowledge (OS and hardware) to be able to diagnose issues and provide solutions
Profile, analyze, and optimize legacy software system
More About this Role :
Work on a ground system infrastructure for our customer that provides pre-mission configuration management and post-mission data workflows to support the war fighter.
Develop automation for rapid system build and test
Help develop roadmaps to ensure proper level of support to meet evolving customer needs
Develop and maintain user and administrative documentation to meet customer contract requirements
Understanding of software life-cycle management (and tools)
Travel onsite to periodically install and test operational systems and updates
Qualifications you’ll bring:
HS diploma or GED, and 5 + years of relevant experience
Strong knowledge of Routing Protocol Configurations, OSI 7 Layer Model, IPv4 and IPv6, DNS, DHCP
Experience with working on a classified transport network
Experience with troubleshooting network connectivity issues
Experience in network engineering, O&M support, requirements analysis, product integration, network database baseline, and progress tracking
Knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) or CentOS
Knowledge of configuration and troubleshooting for Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA) firewalls
Knowledge of VMware, including software defined switching
Knowledge of cloud technologies
Knowledge of Cisco routing and switching technology
Ability to schedule and plan day-to-day activities to meet deadlines
Ability to initiate, manage, execute, and report tasks independently
Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
Qualifications that are nice to have:
- Current DoD 8570 Approved IAT II or higher baseline certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent/higher). Must be obtainable within 90 days of start

The proposed salary range for this position is:
$71,300.00 - $161,900.00
