CACI International Cyber Engineer - Senior in Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska

Job Description

CACI is seeking a cleared Senior Cyber Engineer to its Cybersecurity (formerly known as Information Assurance) team in Omaha, NE. The selected candidate will perform independent work on multiple customers/projects. Travel is required within the United States for various projects.

What You’ll Get to Do:

  • Manage day-to-day assessment activities for multiple projects and customers.

  • Employ strong technical and organizational skills to coordinate requirements and deliverables with the customer.

  • Ensures customer systems, as well as local systems, maintain their Authority to Operate (ATOs) with a security posture in accordance with NIST and local guidance.

  • Implements information systems assurance programs and control guidelines.

  • Confers with and advises subordinates on administrative/technical policies and procedures as well as resolving technical problems, priorities, and methods.

  • Research, identify, evaluate, and provide status of security controls.

  • Ensures all relevant cyber security considerations are integrated into systems engineering and design processes.

  • Conducts technical vulnerability assessments and assists system administrators with applying security patches; validates changes.

  • Conducts quality control reviews of security assessments prior to submittal.

  • Evaluates potential cyber security risks and recommends corrective action.

  • Ensure project development environments and processes support secure effective implementations.

  • Coordinate internal project schedules and client deliverables, participate in meetings, and maintain a current status record on all projects.

  • Maintains applicable baseline security controls from NIST SP 800-53 and CNSSI 1253 for multiple systems.

  • Interact with development and test teams to coordinate system upgrades and test cycles.

  • Provide network and systems engineering expertise as needed.

  • Create, update, and assess compliance of system ATO packages.

  • Work with multiple Authorizing Officials (AOs).​

More About the Role:

  • Experience with the implementation of complex engineering solutions for critical systems and capabilities, engineering and implementation of C4 systems, operations and maintenance of systems and subsystems.

  • Experience in the design, engineering and implementation of technologies and interfaces specifically supporting the operational capability of senior leadership and supporting facilities.

  • Must be familiar with USSTRATCOM common IT systems and engineering software tools (REMEDY, Visio)

  • Experience in installation, integration, and test activities in support of operation and maintenance of C4 systems.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Current Top Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field or equivalent

  • 8+ years’ experience working in Cyber Security

  • DoD 8570.01-M IAM Level II certification

  • Risk Management Framework (RMF) experience

  • Experience writing SSPs, RARs, SCTMs, and Test Plans

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Server and Client Operating Systems

  • STIG implementation

  • Experience with XACTA 360

  • IC and DoD policies, procedures, and operating instructions related to IT, Cyber, and IM

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • ACAS and HBSS

  • eMASS

  • Master’s Degree in a technical field

  • An Active TS/SCI
