Job Description

What You’ll Get to Do:

  • Review requisition, solicit/evaluate bid, recommend and select supplier for award of purchase orders.

  • Negotiate price, quality, delivery and other terms and conditions.

  • Comply with corporate policies, procedures, and underlying Federal, state, and/or local regulations concerning the purchase and/or shipment of goods, materials, and services.

  • Perform oversight on all awarded purchase orders until delivery/completion of goods/services.

  • Coordinate and prioritize activities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Recruit and maintain responsive suppliers providing high quality products and services at fair and reasonable prices.

  • Conduct supplier site visits.

  • Rate suppliers for production capability, past performance, and timeliness of deliveries.

  • Negotiate with suppliers and settles damage claims, rejections, losses, return of materials, over-shipments, cancellations, and engineering change orders.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Requires a University Degree (BA/BS) or equivalent experience and minimum 3 years of related work experience.

  • Requires practical knowledge of job area through advanced education combined with experience.

  • Requires practical knowledge and/or experience with the utilization of a P-Card.
