CACI is looking for a Director of M anufacturing with experience in the production and design of optical communications system including APDs and EDFAs along with electro-optical components such as DWDM filters, combiners and couplers. Also capable of developing the process for verification testing of subsystems including fiber and free space optical subassemblies.
What You’ll Get to Do:
You will develop the best practice’s process for production of the Optical Inter Satellite Link (OISL) Terminal’s Fiber Optical subassemblies including the Ocotocell, Fiber Tray (with 20 optical components) and EDFA. This will include the splicing, recoating and routing of fibers to support high reliability in LEO Space environments.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Requires a minimum of 12 years of experience producing optics equipment requiring high-reliability in challenged environments along with capturing process information required for full-traceability.
Experience managing and growing a team.
Production of products for medical devices or SpaceFiber management for products exposed to harsh environmental conditions
Ability to identify material cost reductions as well as reductions in production labor
Active alignment of fiber attachment to electro optical devices
Proven track record for making significant improvements of processes, systems or products to enhance performance of job area.
These Qualifications Would Be Nice To Have:
Prefer 15 years of experience producing optics equipment requiring high-reliability in challenged environments along with capturing process information required for full-traceability.
Experience with managing a large team or multiple smaller teams which would typically consist of both experienced professionals and managers
