CACI is looking for an Manufacturing Test Technician to join our team in Orlando, FL. This is part of our SA Photonics Division, we specialize in the design, development, and manufacturing of complex, state-of-the-art communications systems for military, space, and commercial applications. Our products include optical as well as RF communication systems. SA Photonics has a small team of highly experienced engineers and scientists, and we are growing!

What You’ll Get to Do:

The Test Operator will be performing recurring testing operations on a variety of electrical, mechanical, and optical sub-systems.

  • Works from established test procedures, prints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and similar documentation of electrical, electronic, mechanical, electro-mechanical and electro optical subsystems.

  • Uses automated and manual test equipment to test, troubleshoot to verify the performance of subsystems for conformance with pass/fail requirements based on performance requirements. Validates and performs system tests thru direction from established Acceptance Test Procedures, station software, and Shop Floor Process Plans

  • Sets up and operates requisite test equipment, including standard optical, mechanical and electrical test equipment, custom designed fixtures, consoles, and other recording devices.

  • Performs acceptance test, troubleshooting/analysis of subsystem failures or malfunctions to determine cause and rework recommendation. Follows established shop floor processes for rectifying minor repairs, or requests Manufacturing, Engineering, or Quality personnel for corrective action assistance. Performs retest of reworked or modified subsystems. Accepts or rejects unit under test by generating required documentation within applicable production control and Quality systems.

  • Participates in implementing Lean, 5S, process value stream analysis and continuous improvement into manufacturing environment.

  • Recommends changes in tests and testing procedures to facilitate documentation accuracy, obtaining complete and accurate test information, and audit readiness.

  • Performs other assigned functions such as maintaining a clean and organized work area, maintaining pertinent logs and records, demonstrating equipment operations and trains other technicians as required.

  • Assists Manufacturing Engineering personnel in conducting in depth failure investigations and maintaining test equipment. Conducts regular audits of test station work area to insure audit readiness prior to test commencement.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Associate degree preferredor two years military service with electronic schooling and applied test experience preferred, and/or 8 years ofexperience.

  • ​Ability to use scopes, multimeters, power supplies, torque and precision measuring tools in the testing and verification of electrical, electronic, and electro-optical assemblies.

  • Ability to apply epoxy / adhesives as per written directions.

  • Applicants must have at least 8 years of prior experience in electronics testing.

  • Manual dexterity, proficient with precision hand tools, good eyesight, and the ability to perform repetitive tasks is required.

  • Must be a detailed oriented person that works will in a team environment and complies with high quality standards.

  • Must be able to occasionally lift and move up to 25 lbs.

  • Familiarity with handling of optical, fiber and ESD sensitive components.

  • Must be able to follow written procedures and policies, as directed thru computer software, Acceptance Test Plans, and manufacturing Process Plans
