What You’ll Get to Do:CACI is seeking a highly motivated, innovative, and qualified Data Analyst Intern to support our Navy client onsite at Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth, VA. The job demands a solid understanding of standard data, statistical, and financial analytics and business process improvement. The candidate will focus on maintaining alignment with strategic plans and programs to ensure the implementation and evaluation of programs that support Shipyard operations. The candidate will assist senior analysts who advise management on the effectiveness of government programs and operations or the productivity and efficiency of agency operation.
More About the Role:
Assist senior analysts in providing line managers with objectively based information for making decisions on the programmatic aspects of agency operations and management
Assists in analyzing and evaluating, on a qualitative or quantitative basis, the effectiveness of line program operations in meeting established goals and objectives
Assists in developing life cycle cost analysis of projects or performing cost benefit or economic evaluations of current or projected programs
Assists in researching and investigating new or improved business and management practices for application to agency programs or operations
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Strong problem formulation, analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate in a clear and succinct manner
Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing data sets (Excel, SPSS, SAS, Tableau etc)
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to work independently or within a team environment
Comfortable with taking initiative and determining the best path forward given multiple valid approaches
