CACI International Logistics Technician in Portsmouth, Virginia
What You’ll Get to Do:
You will be part of a team maintaining the nation's largest and most complex national defense assets. As a recognized subject matter expert you will provide logistics and supply services support to the Norfolk Naval Shipyard Engineering Department including identifying and updating Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), logistics and configuration data supporting ship maintenance, repair, upgrades and installations.
More About the Role:
Identify, track and verify logistics products related to ship alterations are applicable to the ship.
Ensure products are documented in Configuration Management Database- Open Architecture (CDMD-OA) and delivered to the ship.
Accomplish shipboard sight validation of all new, modified and/or removed ship equipment.
Review configuration worthy equipment manufacturer/technical information as listed on Ship Installation drawings, vendor drawings or technical manuals , and compare the information to CDMD-OA.
Document findings in CDMD-OA either via direct input or work file. Updates should include equipment configuration updates, logistics record updates and alteration updates as appropriate.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Active Secret clearance
High school graduate or GED equivalent.
Five (5) years’ experience and working knowledge of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) life cycle program requirements for equipment and systems using policies, directives, specifications and standards which guide the establishment and maintenance of ILS for these categories of equipment during their life cycle.
Working experience in one or more of the following areas as specified in the applicable task: the preparation and review of Logistics Support Plans in accordance with applicable standards; the preparation and review of Logistics Support Analysis (LSA) records/plans and input analyses/data review; the update and revision of technical manuals; the identification and implementation of ILS requirements resulting from technical directive changes; the development of ILS data for incorporation into Logistics Management Information Systems; and the methods of tracking the ILS elements in a program.
Experience with the logistics of shipboard systems and equipment.
Experience with the Allowance Parts List, 4790 CKs, Ships Configuration and Logistics Support Tech Spec 9090-700 and the Technical Management Information System.
Must be able to apply this knowledge in the performance of system track walks and in determining the suitability of ships force supportability of these systems.
