CACI International Metrics Programmer/Analyst in Portsmouth, Virginia

Job Description

CACI has an immediate opening for a Metrics Programmer/Analyst who will focus on analysis and problem solving data challenges in the Navy Maintenance Environment as they relate to types of data, and relationships among data elements within the platform.

What You’ll Get to Do:

  • Develop products to cleanse, curate and standardize data with quality to support sustainable and scalable data interaction, analysis and insight development

  • Understands, transforms, and visualizes large data sets from many sources using a variety of tools

  • Develop and code tools to automate and deliver metrics and data analytics tables and graphs.

  • Help build the metadata model and business glossary by gathering information from multiple sources: business users, existing data sources, databases and other relevant documents and systems

  • Serves as data subject matter expert for products and demonstrate an understanding of key data management principles and data use.

  • Fully capable of reviewing and troubleshooting problems as they occur

  • Models and communicates findings to make data analysis actionable and understandable by business partners

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Confidential clearance

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

  • 3 years of related experience developing metrics tools & solving data challenges

  • Ability to travel (up to 10%)

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Strong problem formulation and problem solving skills, with the ability to communicate in a clear and succinct manner

  • Change oriented, with the ability to actively generate process improvements, support and drive change, and confront difficult circumstances in creative ways

  • Three plus years of experience coding within the Microsoft toolset projects, and data operations experience compiling data for analytics, working with data analysis methodologies and supporting tools

  • Experience in data design, data architecture and data modeling (both transactional and analytic/data aggregation)

  • Knowledge of command line experience with loading and manipulating files

  • Experience with data transfer and ingestion technologies

  • Knowledge of data management standards, data governance practices and data quality

  • VB Script

  • SQL queries

  • Excel Macros

  • Military/shipyard/depot data
