CACI International Programmer in Portsmouth, Virginia

Job Description

CACI is seeking a Programmer to support our Waterfront Engineering Program in Portsmouth, Va.

What You’ll Get to Do:

  • Be part of a team maintaining the nation’s largest and most complex national defense assets

  • Perform routine, detailed engineering activities related to programming of specific problems as defined by the immediate supervisor.

  • Participate in data collection concerning the needs, requirements, and data concerns related to the software programming tasks assigned.

  • Conduct simple tests and/or studies to determine reliability of software program development and execution to meet TPOC needs.

  • Write report generating programs to extract data and present in the context required by the TPOC.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Academic Requirements: High School Graduate with professional studies in computer programming. A BS degree in Computer Science may be substituted for experience.

  • Minimum/General Experience: Three (3) years’ experience in a recognized engineering, computer science or related discipline.

  • Demonstrable programming experience in at least one of the following computer languages: C/C++, Basic, dBase, Visual Basic, ATLAS, ORACLE, Clipper, FORTRAN, Ada, HTTP, Assembly, CMS-2

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Prior experience supporting a Naval Shipyard code 200.

  • Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite is desired
