CACI International Sr. Business Process Consultant in Portsmouth, Virginia
CACI is seeking a Business Process Consultant to support business process and performance improvement efforts for the Naval Ship Maintenance Community. This position will lead Shipyard Business Operations process and performance improvement efforts, including Project Management, Material Management, Resource and Capacity Management, Workforce Development & Training, Availability Maintenance & Overhaul, Metrics and Measures, and Business Analytics. These efforts will include working with assigned Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), leaders, and their representatives to create continuous process improvement strategies for the respective function, including identifying, defining, and mapping current state naval ship maintenance business processes and subsequently codifying, implementing, and assessing business process improvements to achieve the desired future state.
What You’ll Get to Do:
Perform business and/or technical analyses to understand current customer environments (including discrepancies and inconsistencies), define customer needs, determine potential strategies, and deliver plans/proposals for process improvement opportunities and/or projects.
Lead Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) working groups tied to critical customer value streams, and apply Lean, Six Sigma, TOC, and/or other methodologies to ultimately achieve process improvement and performance objectives, including new and/or modified business processes and workflows.
Plan, lead, and facilitate meetings to build consensus, deliver results, and achieve desired customer objectives. Interact directly with high-level customers on a regular basis, and document meeting minutes, outcomes, and actions, including tracking action progress.
Compose documentation for a variety of audiences using clear, concise language, including codifying and documenting business process improvements in process manuals and technical instructions, as well as supporting the development of training to implement business processes.
Support the identification/development of operational and performance metrics to measure adherence to business process improvements.
Identify and define IT functional requirements to implement business process improvements and recommend priorities.
Support business process implementation assessments and/or IT improvements.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Requires a Bachelor's Degree in an applicable field and a minimum of five years of experience in Continuous Process Improvement (CPI). Seven years of CPI is preferred.
Must have excellent coaching, consultative, and communication (written and verbal) skills. Must have outstanding interpersonal skills, such as providing constructive feedback, facilitating meetings, interviewing candidates, delivering training, and delivering oral and/or written project progress reports to the customer and senior staff.
Must be able to build relationships, facilitate change, and motivate colleagues/customers to practice continuous improvement processes and techniques.
Must possess strong creative thinking, problem-solving, and systems thinking abilities and be actions/results oriented.
Must be able to set goals, prioritize multiple objectives with various deadlines, and manage complex continuous improvement projects.
Advanced user of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Outlook).
Must be able to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance (note: this requires US citizenship.)
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Active Security Clearance.
American Society for Qualify Six Sigma Greenbelt or Black Belt (CSSGB/CSSBB) Certification.
Project Management Institute Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
Experience in Instructional Design utilizing training development methodologies.
Naval or Shipyard Experience.
Proficiency in Lean principles.
Proficiency in Critical Chain Project Management.
