CACI International Technical Typist in Portsmouth, Virginia
CACI is seeking a Technical Typist to support our Waterfront Engineering Program in Portsmouth, Va.
What You’ll Get to Do:
Generates reports, presentations, and other deliverables that meet TPOC requirements and expectations.
Assists in compiling, consolidating and summarizing data from source documents for use in preparing and providing data and reports as requested.
Review incoming mail to determine which requires personal attention, route other mail to the appropriate Manager in the Department.
Review outgoing office correspondence for completeness, clarity, expression, adherence to office policy, attachment of enclosures, proper grammar, punctuation, spelling and calls the writer’s attention to any conflict between the correspondence and departmental policy.
Return inadequate or incorrect correspondence or reports for revision before submission for signature.
Maintain the Code/Division calendar up-to-date and inform appropriate staff of scheduled appointments and conferences.
Have knowledge of regularly scheduled meetings and commitments, schedule new appointments, advise Code/Division staff of such appointments and provide available background information on the subject of the meeting.
Make arrangements for conferences to be held by the Code/Division Head, arranging for necessary space and notifying all attendees.
Since workshops/conferences may involve representatives from NAVSEA, other Shipyards, etc., may arrange for travel/security arrangements ensuring proper access.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Academic Requirements: High School graduate or GED equivalent.
Minimum/General Experience: Two (2) years training in typing and a good working knowledge of English (including proficiency in spelling and punctuation).
Shall demonstrate experience with Windows and all Microsoft Suite of Office products.
Must possess skills in attention to detail, proper grammar, punctuation and spelling.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Prior experience supporting a Naval Shipyard code 200 is highly desired
Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite is desired
