We have an upcoming opportunity to support the Defense Intelligence Agency’s Office of Counterintelligence (OCI) with robust strategic counterintelligence (CI) all-source analysis. In this exciting opportunity you will conduct responsive, efficient, and reliable analysis to satisfy CI analytical requirements focused on foreign investments, supply chain, critical technologies, critical infrastructure, regional support, investigations, and/or collection. Help OCI assess, interpret, forecast, and explain a range of national security issues and developments that help protect the Department of Defense (DoD) from foreign intelligence entities (FIE) and insider threats.

More About the Role

  • Provides all-source analytic support to collections, operations, investigations, and other defense intelligence analytic requirements products on foreign intelligence entities capabilities, intentions, willingness, and opportunities to threaten U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) personnel, resources, activities, and interests worldwide.

  • Conducts analysis on regional and functional CI topics, including foreign intelligence threats to Defense Critical Infrastructure Program (DCIP) and DoD supply chains and emerging technologies, and threats from foreign intelligence technical equipment to the DoD.

  • Provides guidance in selecting, designing, and applying analytic methodologies.

  • Uses argument evaluation and validated analytic methodologies to challenge differing perspectives.

  • Monitors and analyzes all strategic and operational aspects of political, military, and economic developments for the countries in the Areas of Operational Responsibility and Areas of Interest.

  • Research, authors, and coordinates threat assessments to support the Commander and other senior leadership as well.

  • Provides guidance in selecting, designing, and applying analytic methodologies.

  • Uses argument evaluation and validated analytic methodologies to challenge differing perspectives.

  • Demonstrates comprehensive mission knowledge and skills that affirms completion of all developmental training and experiences for the labor category.

  • Demonstrates ability to communicate understanding from information that may be incomplete, indirect, highly complex, seemingly unrelated, and / or technically advanced.

  • Demonstrates ability to structure analysis based on trends in reporting and a range of analytic perspectives from other analysts, organization, and intelligence disciplines.

  • Demonstrates ability to collaborate and work with other IC members on information sharing, driving collection, and addressing analytic disputes and conflict resolution.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years of experience related to the specific labor category with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years.

  • All-Source Analysis and/or Counterintelligence Analysis experience.

  • Experience with DIA’s analytic tradecraft guidance, TN 02-16 and TN 03-16, and ICD 203, 205, 206, 208, and 750.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal oversight and direction.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with senior military officials, manager, and co-workers.

  • TS/SCI clearance with ability to pass CI Poly

These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have

  • Preferred 8 years of experience related to the specific labor category with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years.

  • TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph

  • PACE course or equivalent

  • Counterintelligence experience

  • Big data analytics experience

  • SCRM, RDA, DCIP, Foreign Investments, technical threats, or regional intelligence experience
