Work with a high-paced team of subject matter experts tasked to solve challenging IT goals. You will be responsible for securing, deploying, managing, and automating our Cloud Solutions Platform in Azure. Although this is a high-pace environment, be assured you’d be joining a tech focused, people-oriented team and an overall community that’s just as flexible as we’re hoping you to be. You enjoy quickly and accurately finding the “root cause” not just a quick solution. You enjoy looking for (and correcting) preventive security issues – security is always a focus in everything you do
Basically, what is the role you will be asked to do:
Secure, deploy, manage, and automate our Cloud Solutions Platform in Azure
Help with Linux deployments and Linux related questions/challenges (many are unique and will require independent research)
This is NOT a management role, but you will have to work within your team and may even take on team lead functions
This is a truly a Hands-On effort – a “get in the weeds everyday” position
Every day you will be asked to enact solutions for our Cloud platform and server enabling your team and customers to fulfill the CACI mission – you’re a creative solutioneer
The ability to communicate well with both “techies” and “non-techies” in-order-to share knowledge and insight is a must. Technical team discussions can happen anywhere, plus with possible impromptu interactions with customers – an upbeat personality with strong communication skills (especially on virtual dry-erase boards) are key traits. Those who can “talk the talk” to both groups in an effective manner will excel in delivering CACI’s objectives and overall mission
Your small team is tasked with developing, deploying, and maintaining a multi-tenant, multi-platform, infrastructure to provide IT development lab enclaves – you add your distinctiveness
Produces and reviews detailed solution documentation and diagrams
Actively participate and contribute your knowledge in internal Engineering Review processes
Provide technical cross-training/coaching of more junior colleagues
Your team is a fun, collaborative bunch of highly skilled, highly knowledgeable individuals – you will join in on some interesting advanced technical discussions
You’ll Need to bring these Qualifications:
AZURE
7+ years’ experience with deploying and advanced troubleshooting servers VM environments (VMWare, Azure, other Cloud)
5+ years’ experience with SIEM/SOAR Tools (e.g. Azure Sentinel)
7+ years’ experience creating and debugging PowerShell and/or shell scripts, Python languages relevant to Cloud/Network/Security Automation needs
3+ years’ experience with Azure firewalls and other Azure network deployment and troubleshooting
3+ years’ experience integrating Azure with LDAP or ADFS services for Single Sign-on
3+ years’ experience integrating Azure with Multifactor Authentication (MFA, 2MFA)
3+ years’ experience with creating, integrating, troubleshoot Azure capabilities such as Resource Groups, Log Analytics, Insights, IAM, subscriptions, tenants
LINUX/Other
7+ years’ experience installing, configuring, securing, integrating, upgrading and troubleshooting VM systems with Linux/CentOS (prefer some hands-on experience with AlmaLinux or Rocky Linux too)
3+ years with installing/configuring/troubleshooting Security tools (i.e., Windows, Azure, Linux) beyond default settings meeting highest level government standards relating to data, applications, OS, networking, infrastructure, etc.
In addition, you MUST meet the following:
US Citizenship required
University Degree (BS), or equivalent years of related experience, and additionally 7+ years of related IT engineering experience required
At least one Advanced-level Azure Certifications Server/System (besides Fundamentals) (i.e., Security Engineer, Solutions Architect, AI Engineer)Certifications should be no older than 4 years to be considered
Demonstrate 5+ years Production experience with Cyber Security within the Cloud (AWS or Azure)
Demonstrate 2+ years Production experience with MS Platform Services
You must always perform the work from within the United States
At this time, this is a full time Virtual Position (Work-From-Home)
You may be asked to attend meetings, obtain credentials, etc. in a CACI or government office at any time
We would love it, if you also had these in addition to the above:
2+ years’ experience configuring SELinux through custom modules using CIL or M4 macro
2+ years’ Tenable Nessus experience
Experience troubleshooting interactions with Software Defined Firewalls and Virtual Routing Environments Firewalls
2+ years’ experience with MikroTik and/or OPNsense network devices
3+ years’ experience integrating, securing, and making useful the following Microsoft platform services: Microsoft ADDS, ADCS, ADFS, Windows AD-integrated PKI, MS SQL Server, IIS, ASP.NET
Knowledgeable in integrating Smart Card authentication working within Cloud Systems and Web Systems
Familiarity with industry and government standards implementation for securing IT systems; like 800-171, DFARS 7012, RFM, NISPOM, FISMA, FedRamp (to name a few)
Knowledge about emerging architectures – such as Zero Trust Security
Relevant Technical and/or Security Certifications (e.g. Network +, Security+, CISSP, Microsoft, AWS, VMware, etc.) – certifications no older than 4 years
(Preferred) Technical degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related subject area
Additional, advanced-level certifications in Cloud (AWS, Azure or VMWare), Windows Server/System Center or Linux.Certifications should be no older than 4 years to be considered.
Intangibles you should have to be successful:
Understanding and intuitively knowing "why things work", not just the ability to follow installation and configuration guides
Strong understanding network communication fundamentals
Must be comfortable operating daily with Microsoft Teams (or similar technology)

Pay Range: The proposed salary range for this position is $86,200-$176,600. There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, geographic location, education, and certifications.
