CACI is seeking full-time Case Reviewers for our Intelligence Community background investigation contracts. Case Managers work with investigators to complete and submit background investigation reports which determine the suitability of current and prospective Federal employees, contractors, and military personnel for security clearances. The investigations support critical national security efforts of the United States Intelligence Community.

Position Summary :

The Case Reviewer supervises the full lifecycle of a background investigation case, from case receipt to final delivery to the customer. The Case Reviewer acts as the primary point of contact and subject matter expert for field staff during the process of the investigation while simultaneously scrutinizing reports of investigation submitted by Field Investigators to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely submission of cases to our customers. Cross-training on multiple contracts is required. This is a fully remote position, however, there may be local travel to fulfill job duties.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage case flow and conduct thorough reviews of background investigations, including reports of investigation, to ensure investigations are complete and adhere to contract and CACI requirements.

  • Manage daily workload and task list, prioritizing based on customer, business needs, and team needs; participate in all mandatory meetings.

  • Provide guidance on investigation requirements to Field Investigators

  • Maintain quality and production that meets contract requirements and CACI performance expectations

  • Identify error trends and communicate to Field Investigators and Management to improve contract performance

  • Work closely with case review team members and management to develop training and guidance to improve background investigations

  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications :

  • Candidates must have at least 12 months’ experience conducting/processing background investigations on behalf of the Federal Government. Experience with the Raspberry Beret or Excalibur contracts within the last 12 months and a working knowledge of the Federal Investigative Standards is required. Experience as a case reviewer preferred.

  • Highly detail-oriented, excellent time management, organizational, communication and administrative skills with the ability to prioritize and/or reprioritize daily tasks based on the needs of the customer, business, and/or your team; and remain flexible and receptive to changes resulting from customer or business needs.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work-related experience

  • U.S. Citizenship (a requirement for a federal security clearance)

  • Ability to pass a mandatory pre-employment drug test

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a favorable U.S. Government security clearance

  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently

  • Detail oriented with a focus on analyzing information

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to communicate with individuals by telephone, email, and face to face

  • Strong customer service and teamwork skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Proficient in using the internet

  • Sense of mission in support of national security

  • Impeccable work ethic, integrity, and can-do attitude

Physical Demands:

  • Normal demands associated with an office environment.

  • Must sit or stand to work at a computer, reading and typing, for long periods of time

  • Maintain visual ability including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and to adjust focus while reading words and numbers

  • Speak and hear sufficiently to communicate in person and over the phone

Since this position can be worked in more than one location, the range shown is the national average for the position.

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$41,800-$85,800
