CACI helps the Air Force Research Laboratory explore, prototype, and demonstrate new technologies, enabling the Air Force to maintain its technological advantage. We are seeking an entry level Java or C/C++Cyber Engineer to help us research malware detection and mitigation.
As a Cyber Engineer, you will:
Work closely with other CACI engineers and our government customers to identify, develop, test, enhance and demonstrate technologies for malicious software detection, mitigation, and classification.
Participate in research, design, and implementation of new malicious network traffic detection systems.
Support development of malware reverse-engineering tools.
Develop software in Java, C and C++.
Use scripting tools like bash or Python for automation.
Support development of automated deployment approaches, based on technologies like Docker or Kubernetes.
Write automated tests and user interface tests to support automated application testing.
Write technical documentation.
Additional technologies you will use may include:
Automated testing tools like Mocha, Ava, JUnit, Selenium, or others
Automated build tools like Maven and Gradle
SCM and issue tracking tools like Git, GitLab, Jira, etc
You’ll need to meet these requirements to be eligible for this position:
Able to obtain Department of Defense SECRET Security Clearance
Able to use computers for long periods of time and communicating with others face-to-face, by telephone, email, or instant messaging.
Have a Bachelor’s degree in the field of computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, video game development, related field, or equivalent experience.
Have 0-2 years of professional experience as a software engineer.
Have a desire to learn on the job.

Pay Range: The proposed salary range for this position is $49,400-$98,900. There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, geographic location, education, and certifications.
