CACI is seeking an experienced Rhapsody/ HL7 Developer HL7 Developer to join our award-winning team. The Rhapsody/ HL7 Developer will be responsible for programming system interfaces to process HL7 transactions using the Rhapsody® Integration Engine. This resource will provide HL7 interface/data integration maintenance and support. The ideal candidate is comfortable participating in integration of interfaces, including risk analysis, testing, monitoring, and evaluation of the anticipated outcomes.

What You'll Get to Do:

  • Involved in the entire cycle of interface application development, including analysis, design/architecture, specification, coding, testing, implementation, and production support.

  • Serves as subject matter expert for HL7 application interface development.

  • Develops, tests and implements new solutions per standards and best-fit for particular data exchange.

  • Designs new solutions and handles all aspects of the interface architecture process.

  • Works under the direction of the Technical Team Lead/Project Manager to ensure results are achieved and deadlines are met.

  • Resolves problems and provides daily troubleshooting, analysis, and problem definition for production issues.

  • Works with the BA/QA team and data exchange partners to validate and test all new development and exchanges.

  • Documents and maintains change control records for all system changes.

You'll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Experience with both common and emerging interoperability standards such as Health Level Seven International (HL7), IHE profile, Clinical Document Architecture (CDA), CCD, JSON and Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR)

  • 4 years with Interface development, and data transformation and integration experience

  • Extensive knowledge of HL7 technical message specifications and health-coded vocabularies like LOINC and SNOMED, etc.

  • 2 years working knowledge of Orion Rhapsody or similar product

  • 2 years with data mapping, translation, validation and exception handling

  • 4 years experience writing SQL queries

  • Strong understanding of web-based technologies, XML processing, SOAP, REST, JSON, Web services, etc

  • Knowledge and experience with Rhapsody Integration Engine technology in health-related environment

  • HL7 certification is preferred.

  • Bachelor of Computer Science or similar field

Pay Range: The proposed salary range for this position is $71,300-$146,200. There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, geographic location, education, and certifications.
