What You’ll Get to Do

As a highly qualified cybersecurity capability SME with a specific background in cloud cybersecurity design, build, and operations, you will be responsible for advising and assisting the CISA Federal Enterprise Improvement Team (FEIT) in the following support areas:

  • Agency cloud cybersecurity tools and processes discovery,

  • Agency risk assessments for cloud environments,

  • Technical consultation to assist in the development of Agency cybersecurity vulnerability management implementation and improvement plans for cloud enterprises,

  • Architectural and cyber capabilities design reviews, and

  • Supporting the development CISA FEIT-specific directives and guidance analysis

This work will involve interaction with various Federal Agencies as reviews and recommendations are made to improve the overall Agency enterprise security status.

More About the Role

The Identity and Access Management (IdAM) and Cloud Security SME will focus on the review of and recommendations for defensible architecture and network hygiene. The SME will support Federal Civilian Executive Branch (FCEB) Agencies with reviews and recommendations for the material progress in implementing a Zero Trust approach to cybersecurity designed to limit the access and impact of adversaries breaching perimeter defenses.

The schedule for discoveries and reviews is highly compressed and will demand that the SME possesses a background across multiple disciplines. Additionally, the SME will work with multiple Agencies over the review and discovery phases of the project.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience with Personal Identity Verification (PIV), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and Fast Identity Online (FIDO) technologies

  • Demonstrated experience in providing Identity and Access Management (IdAM) advisory, solution architecture, and consulting to projects of varying size

  • Demonstrated experience in providing secure architecture and configuration guidelines for federal enterprise networks and systems, including traditional on-premise, cloud, and software-defined networking, and zero trust architectures

  • Strong understanding of public and private best practices to modernize high-risk IT assets and to incorporate enhanced cybersecurity reviews

  • Experience supporting the designing of a Technical Refresh Plan for a Government Network.

  • Must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information and be clearable to a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) EOD clearance. Active DoD clearance preferred.

  • Thorough understanding, and experience performing a RMF or equivalent, Certification & Accreditation (C&A)/Assessment & Authorization (A&A)

  • Strong communication and organization skills

  • US Citizenship required

  • University Degree (BA/BS) or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years of related work experience

Pay Range: The proposed salary range for this position is $101,800-$218,800. There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, geographic location, education, and certifications.
