CACI is seeking an IT Project Manager to join our cloud operations team on a contract supporting Department of Homeland Security. The IT Project Manager will oversee cloud operations support and project human resources involved in operations and maintenance (O&M) supporting applications hosted on AWS and Azure. Successful candidates will direct a matrixed technical team including subject matter experts (SMEs), technical personnel, and other appropriate expertise as needed to support small and large scale cloud solutions as part of O&M activities including small and large projects utilizing agile and/or waterfall methodologies where applicable. The IT Project Manager will ensure compliance with the DHS SELC process through all phases of the life cycle (planning, requirements definition, design, development, integration, test, disposition, implementation, operations & maintenance) as well as deliver the appropriate SELC artifacts as defined by the level of the project.

What You’ll Get to Do:

Serve as an IT Project Manager responsible for cloud operations and maintenance. Responsibilities include:

  • All areas of Project Management from initiation through closeout, ensuring the successful execution of the project in support of government customer’s mission, goals and objectives.

  • Own, manage, and regulate the daily execution of the Change Management processes.

  • Provide communication across the government and contract for proper resolution of change request issues and foster a common understanding of the Change Management processes scope, applicability, and key sub-processes.

  • Plan, measure, monitor and report on all configuration and change management activities impacting cloud applications and infrastructure systems.

  • Provide leadership to a cross-functional team, managing team resource assignments, projected task completion dates, prioritizing activities based on customer requirements.

  • Document and track the project lifecycle and activities in JIRA including Kanban board.

  • Oversee individual IT projects and tasks from identification of requirements, analysis and design, development, end-user testing, deployment, and production support.

  • Liaise between developers and project stakeholders, and foster quality communication between engineering disciplines.

  • Document and manage all issues and risks, developing and maintaining a risk register and mitigation plan.

  • Facilitate all necessary meetings, to include requirements gathering, kick-off, technical exchange meetings, design review, status meeting, closeout meetings and all ad-hoc and post-mortem meetings necessary.

  • Provide recommendations for process development and improvement.

  • Contribute to documentation in the Knowledge Base, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), work instructions, and job aids.

More About the Role:

  • Track and manage initiatives, deliverables, customer relations, and project management/operational reviews.

  • Develop and produce documentation, reports, and presentation slide decks.

  • Prepare and present briefing materials to staff, executives, and federal customers. Interactions involve client meetings and interfacing with senior management.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Ability to obtain TS/SCI DoD Security Clearance (active TS preferred)

  • Ability to obtain Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Entry On Duty (EOD) - Active EOD preferred

  • B.A./B.S. or equivalent + 8 years of relevant experience

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

  • Previous experience in a supervisory role managing or leading a cloud support/project team

  • Experience with IT change/configuration management in production environments

  • Experience using Kanban boards and agile methodologies

  • Understanding of Scrum methodologies

  • Experience with Microsoft Project, JIRA, and Confluence

  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)

  • Strong Microsoft Office experience, predominantly Excel, Visio and PowerPoint

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Previous DHS or DoD experience

  • Any of the following certifications is highly desired:

  • SAFe Agile

  • Certified Scrum Master

  • AWS

  • Azure

  • ITIL Foundation

  • Other IT technical certifications
