Make a difference in the lives of today’s military! CACI is looking for a Lead Systems Engineer with strong technical, interpersonal, and communication skills to join our team. The candidate will have a record of accomplishment leading technical teams in support of successful system and application development as well as sustainment. The position will be a remote position with possible travel to customer site a few times annually.

What You’ll Get to Do:

  • Collaboratively develop and maintain mission critical systems for its users, whom we coordinate for design and development to ensure we bring the right product in the execution of their mission.

  • Act as technical lead of teams providing guidance and leadership in support of system and software development activities.

  • Participate in management-level discussions to communicate project status and planning in terms of technical tasking, risk, and impediment.

  • Research and provide guidance on technical matters to accomplish mission goals. Examples include assessments of new/planned technologies, acquisition research, Help Desk escalated issues, etc.

  • Develop and maintain system architecture and design documentation.

  • Collaborate with teams to monitor and maintain the system production environment.

  • Collaborate with management, cybersecurity, and test teams to maintain the application release schedule.

  • Collaborate, collect, and report system performance metrics.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Must have active DoD Secret clearance or higher.

  • BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related STEM degree and 10+ years’ experience performing progressive systems engineering activities; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

  • Experience with unclassified and/or classified systems in DoD IT environments to include managing and maintaining system architectures, infrastructure, and components in support of release, deployment, and sustainment.

  • Experience leading technical teams to support project goals and customer satisfaction.

  • Experience with Red Hat/Apache Linux and Windows-based systems in cloud and/or hosted VM environments, to include factors such as patching, SysOps/DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and network devices.

  • Experience with Oracle-based products such as Oracle EBS, ApEx and Oracle 19c.

  • Experience with reporting solutions such as Cognos, Tableau or Power BI.

  • Experience with DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) accreditation and authorization processes, including continuous monitoring and mitigation of cybersecurity vulnerabilities identified from ACAS scans or STIG checks.

  • Experience performing research and documentation in support of technical upgrades, product acquisition, and cost/benefit analysis.

  • Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills to facilitate team interaction and support system documentation.

  • Must possess certifications that meet or exceed DoD 8140 IAT Level II requirements (ex. CompTIA Security+, CISSP).

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Experience supporting systems engineering for USMC-based projects.

  • Experience with waterfall and Agile development processes.

  • Experience with DevOps processes and tools.

  • Experience with data replication solutions.

  • Possess architectural or system administration certifications, preferably related to Oracle, Linux, or AWS.

  • Possession of an active Top Secret security clearance.

Since this position can be worked in more than one location, the range shown is the national average for the position.

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$89,500-$188,000
