CACI International Oracle Functional Consultant – Internship Summer 2021 in Remote (Any State), Virginia

Job Description

What You’ll Get to Do:

We are actively seeking enthusiastic interns who can work full-time for a minimum of 10-weeks for the Summer 2021 session. CACI is seeking a self-motivated and enthusiastic upperclassman who is interested in learning about large, enterprise resource planning (ERP) projects as a part of CACI’s fast paced, growing Oracle practice. The successful candidate will be pursuing one of the following degree programs (or similar): Accounting Information Systems, Business Information Technology, or Business Information Systems. The ideal candidate will have exposure and/or interest in the implementation and sustainment of ERP applications (e.g., SAP or Oracle eBusiness Suite) and the implementation of business intelligence to drive customer decisions. Strong communication skills, written and verbal, are also important. CACI’s current Oracle customer base includes more than 90K users and the most complex enterprise implementation in the Federal Government, allowing prospective interns a unique opportunity to gain insight and hands-on experience with a business system of this magnitude and directly relate to the candidate’s academic studies.

Duties and Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be engaged in the following activities:

  • Work alongside a technical manager/team leads to understand how project work is delivered through a standard release process and gain an understanding of the importance of quality governance processes and rigor.

  • Apply knowledge of current data analysis trends and application including enterprise business intelligence, data mining/data lakes, and data presentation tools/models.

  • Learn about the help desk support model, ticket triage and support change management processes.

  • The candidate will work to transform user requirements into usable reporting solutions

  • Gain exposure to requirements analysis, documentation, and the development of functional and technical design specifications.

  • Assist in the development of test cases and the execution of test scripts including documenting test results.

  • Interns may shadow team members across different program disciplines including solution design, process engineering, development, help desk support, analytics, and other administrative work.

  • Participate in training sessions (when available) and support the review of training documentation.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Education: currently enrolled and actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree

  • Driven, can do attitude and enjoys a collaborative working environment

  • Ability to work in a fast paced, team-based environment

  • Ability to obtain IT2/DoD Secret clearance – US Citizen/Green Card Holder

  • High degree of initiative

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication skills

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Oracle Enterprise Business Suite (or other ERP/Financial Systems) exposure.

  • Knowledge of the Agile methodology, Waterfall, or any other SDLC methodology

  • Exposure to relational databases and reporting tools/approaches

  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred, not required

  • Previous internship/co-op or other work experience, leadership and teamwork capabilities and activities (professional/community/extracurricular)
