CACI is searching for a Part-Time On-Call (PTOC) Proposal Editor to join our Production team—working either remotely or near Reston, VA. You’ll contribute your editing skills, Federal proposal experience, ability to adapt, and intense focus in support of work that spans the entire organization. If you’re an editor seeking a fast and fulfilling environment, this may be your next career opportunity!

What You’ll Get to Do:

  • Edit a wide range of Federal proposal documents in an often-hectic, high-volume environment, primarily working as part of multi-editor teams. At the direction of the Editing Manager, work closely with Production staff and collaborate with other editors on assigned, ad hoc, and last-minute edits. We tend to work at an intense pace in a deadline-sensitive environment, supporting each other as we go.

  • Apply editorial styles and standards consistently and appropriately across multiple proposal volumes with rigorous attention to detail. We don’t expect perfection, but we continually strive for it.

  • Identify, question, and/or correct grammatical and punctuation errors, faulty sentence construction, and ambiguous or conflicting statements/information. Research and verify acronym definitions; generate glossaries. Perform quality control reviews on edited documents.

  • Work with an outstanding, friendly editing team that responds quickly, emails often, adapts easily, and has an unbeatable work ethic.

  • Control your schedule. As a PTOC editor, we’ll contact you when we have work, and you can accept—or not—based on your schedule and availability. We’re especially looking for someone who can be available on evenings, weekends, and holidays.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English or a relevant career field.

  • Five to seven years of related Federal proposal editing experience for multi-teammate, solutions-based proposals.

  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

  • Ability to focus on the work at hand while responding promptly and cheerfully to frequently changing requirements, deadlines, tasks, and instructions.

What We Can Offer You:

  • We’ve been named a Best Place to Work by the Washington Post.

  • Our employees value the flexibility at CACI that allows them to balance quality work and their personal lives.

  • We offer competitive benefits and learning and development opportunities.

  • We are mission-oriented and ever vigilant in aligning our solutions with the nation’s highest priorities.

  • For over 55 years, the principles of CACI’s unique, character-based culture have been the driving force behind our success.
