CACI is currently looking for outstanding IT candidates to join our TSA IT Management, Performance Analysis, and Collaborative Technologies (IMPACT) team in the National Capital Region (NCR) and throughout the United States. CACI provides a variety of IT services through IMPACT including cyber security, identity and access management, risk management, cloud integration and engineering, field support services, service desk, application deployment and optimization, and operations center support services. CACI supports TSA in both classified and unclassified IT operational environments increasing availability and security for a variety of applications and systems. IMPACT services will integrate with the broader DHS mission and enhance existing Department-wide IT capabilities.

What You’ll Get to Do:

The Sr. Messaging Engineer will be responsible for a highly resilient, large DAG, with continuous replication and a subset of Windows failover clustering technologies that provide a high availability Exchange environment for a user community (CONUS and OCONUS) 65,000+ users. The candidate will perform high level engineering work and will be responsible to support this architecture throughout the IT project lifecycle, to include refining requirements, creating design documentation, creating installation instructions and deployment plans, and providing O&M support. Project assignments will include the planning and migration of the enterprise to an O365 architecture, integrating services into a hybrid cloud environment, engineering and hardening the solution to address security and SCAP compliance as required. This Senior Level Engineer should be well versed in the foundations that make up a large Mission IT network 24x7x365 both CONUS and OCONUS.

More About the Role:

  • Design, configure and maintain Microsoft Exchange infrastructure

  • Install and upgrade Microsoft Operating Systems (Windows Server 2012R2 / Server 2016)

  • Provide strategy for management of user mailboxes and database allocation

  • Define, configure, and troubleshoot Exchange Administrative and Routing groups as well as SMTP Connectors

  • Troubleshoot and configure DAG, CAS Arrays within a clustered environment

  • Daily administration of Exchange

  • Create PowerShell scripts for administration of Exchange, Office 365, custom software implementations, and advanced troubleshooting

  • Troubleshoot Exchange related issues when alerted by monitoring software

  • Monitor and manage log files and disk space

  • Interface with Active Directory (AD), storage, and back and restore staff

  • Maintain a comprehensive Exchange disaster recovery plan and previous field experience

  • Assist in implementing message archiving solutions

  • Update, patch and keep o/s and Exchange current with the latest available security patches (bios, firmware upgrades, etc.)

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • US Citizenship requires

  • An active DHS Entrance on Duty (EOD) is required to begin employment and must be maintained as a requirement of continued employment

  • Bachelor's Degree and/or 10+ years related work experience

  • 8 to 10 years of experience with email engineering and administration of MS Exchange 2016, 2013, and Microsoft Outlook 2016, 2013

  • 3+ years of experience with Office 365

  • 3+ years of experience with email security appliances (Proofpoint)

  • Proficient with PowerShell and other scripting skills used to automate messaging processes and reporting is a must

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and Exchange Active Directory Attributes

  • Knowledgeable of Change Management processes

  • Technical documentation skills

  • Solid professional and customer service skills

  • Ability to work with minimal guidance

  • Strong Active Directory, Group Policy Management (GPO), DNS knowledge

  • Knowledge of PKI/Certificates

  • Lync / Skype

  • STIGS

  • MTA, MCSE and/or MVP certifications a plus

  • Ability to obtain a DOD Security Clearance

Pay Range: The proposed salary range for this position is $86,200-$176,600. There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, geographic location, education, and certifications.
