CACI International Senior Windows Engineer in Remote (Any State), Virginia
The CDM Program is managed within the DHS Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, CISA/Office of Cybersecurity and Communications (CS&C)/Network Security Deployment (NSD) Division, responsible for enhancing the security, resilience, and reliability of the Nation’s cyber and communications infrastructure. The DHS CDM Program mission is to safeguard and secure cyberspace in an environment where the threat of cyber-attack is continuously growing and evolving. The CDM Program defends the United States (U.S.) Federal Information Technology (IT) networks from cybersecurity threats by providing continuous monitoring sensors (tools), diagnosis, mitigation tools, and associated services to strengthen the security posture of Government networks.

What You’ll Get to Do:
Currently, this is a full-time remote position (work from home). Must reside within the United States.
Frequent customer interactions, including presenting, answering questions, proactively resolving issues.
Effectively and professionally communicate with both technical and non-technical colleagues and customers at all levels of seniority.
In-depth system administration of Windows and Azure Cloud environments
Implement and secure services relating to remote connections
Integrate Multi-factor authentication (MFA, 2MFA)
Enhance data protection and compliance (with technologies such as OpenSSL, Keystores, Azure Key Vault, Cyphers)
Secure systems by following STIGs, best practices, and government/compliance requirements (such as NIST 800-53, NIST 800-171, FISMA, FEDRAMP), and negotiating/working-with IA personnel to arrive at sensible and effective solutions
Perform integrations with network devices, such as VPN, firewall, routing
Create, analyze, and automate scripts (PowerShell, Ansible, Python, etc.) – make things go ‘auto-magically’
This is an Azure Cloud, AWS Cloud, Physical environment, running VMWare ESXi, vSphere, Windows, and Linux
Provide technical cross-training/coaching to more junior colleagues to convey concepts and to provide any guidance needed.
Your voice matters! Provide valued input into CDM and DHS processes and procedure to ensure others who follow in your footsteps have a clear, easy to follow path toward implementation successes.
Work independently or on very small teams to integrate systems and solutions, triage issues, and prioritize tasks.
Provision, install, configure, “be a detective” and other things on multiple network device types on both public and private VM and hardware infrastructures.
Create and manage technical solutions. Provide in-depth understanding of content as well as (in some cases) produce your own.
You may be asked to attend meetings, obtain credentials, etc. Virtually (with and without a camera), in a CACI or government office at any time
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
US Citizenship required
Must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information and be successfully obtain to a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) EOD authorization. Active DoD clearance preferred, but not required.
Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in a technical discipline (e.g. Computer Science, Computer Engineering) or equivalent years of related job experience
10+ years of cumulative demonstrated work experience in the following disciplines:
Integrating and troubleshooting Windows and/or Azure environments
Creating, analyzing, and automating scripts (such as PowerShell, Ansible, Python, CmdShell)
Implementing and customizing Group Policy Objects (GPOs)
Integrating Multi-Factor Authentication (such as MFA, 2FA, Smart Card, Physical Token)
Securing Windows systems by following STIGs, best practices, and government/compliance requirements (such as NIST 800-53, NIST 800-171, FISMA, FEDRAMP), and working with IA personnel to arrive at effective solutions.
Integrating, securing, and making useful the following Microsoft platform services (both in Windows OS and in Azure Cloud):
Active Directory Domain Services (ADDS)
Active Directory Certificate Services (ADCS)
Active Directory Federated Services (ADFS)
Windows AD-integrated PKI
Single Sign On (SSO) implementation
Experience with a distributed version control system, such as GitHub / GIT
Knowledge of Agile and/or Kanban
Experience briefing technical and non-technical customers and answering technical questions
Experience with in-depth systems administration in Windows and/or Azure environments
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Technical degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related subject area
Relevant Technical and/or Security Certifications (e.g. CISSP, CCNA, CCDA, CCNA-Security, etc.)
One (1) of the following certifications: Azure DevOps Engineering Expert, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Security Engineer Associate
Understands and intuits "why things work", not just the ability to follow installation and configuration guides – Curiosity
experience implementing and securing services relating to remote connections (RDP, RDS, RDSH, VDI, etc.)
Experience with enhance data protection and compliance. (such as OpenSSL, Keystores, Azure Key Vault, Cyphers)
Experience with network devices, integrations, and concepts such as VPN, firewall, routing

Experience with VMWare (implementing, managing, configuring)
Some experience with any or any of the following products or technologies: MS SQL, Puppet, Chef, Qualys, SCCM, BigFix, MDM solutions (again, nice to have, not required)
Some experience with setup and integration with IIS, SQL Server
Some experience with Azure Security Tools (e.g. Sentinel)
Some experience with administering Linux (CentOS, RedHat, etc.)
