What You’ll Get to Do:

The NHSN Sr. Software Developer position requires experience with Java software development, strong communication and business skills and would ideally have some familiarity with the healthcare industry and health IT. The role is responsible for working with a diverse set of stakeholders to review and analyze requirements, design, build, and test new software features and functionality, and investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects.

More About the Role:

  • Working collaboratively with a diverse group of stakeholders

  • Reading, comprehending software requirements, and assisting with estimating efforts

  • Design, development and implementation of new features and resolution of defects

  • Assisting in troubleshooting software application and configuration issues

  • Assisting with application deployments which include installation, configuration, and testing

  • Producing technical documentation for new and existing features and application configurations

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Experience with Java software development: Java 1.8+, JEE, JSP, Servlets, Struts 2, Spring, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, JDBC, Apache Commons Libraries ( 5 – 7 years of experience)

  • Web development experience: jQuery, jQuery UI, HTML, CSS, JavaScript ( 5 – 7 years of experience)

  • Skills and experience with SQL, MS SQL Server, Oracle WebLogic, Apache Tomcat, JBoss, IIS, and GitHub ( 5 – 7 years of experience)

  • Experience on building and deploying apps to WebLogic, Tomcat, web/app server ( 5 – 7 years of experience)

  • Experience working in Agile team environment ( 2 – 3 years of experience)

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Familiarity with AngularJS and React

  • Familiarity with Microservices,

Pay Range: The proposed salary range for this position is $65,300-$134,000. There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, geographic location, education, and certifications.
