CACI is currently looking for an experienced Test Engineer (Manual) to join our BEAGLE (Border Enforcement Applications for Government Leading-Edge Information Technology) Agile Solution Factory (ASF) Team supporting Customs and Border Protection (CBP) client located in Northern Virginia! Join this passionate team of industry-leading individuals supporting the best practices in Agile Software Development for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

More About the Role:

  • Participate in Agile Scrum development methodology ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, scrum, backlog refinement, defining tasks/tests, estimating LOE, testing, tracking work done, retrospective, demonstration, etc.)

  • Develop, maintain, and perform sprint-level mobile manual testing activities (e.g., define scenarios, develop detailed scripts/procedures, develop Cucumber Gherkin feature files and scenarios, map user story acceptance criteria to script verification points) in Jira with Xray

  • Develop and maintain testing plans and execute after a new build is promoted or ahead of a production deployment

  • Set up and maintain a mobile device test lab, using both physical devices and emulators

  • In collaboration with the Product Architect and/or Business Analyst, assess impacts of candidate changes to the smoke and/or regression test suite(s) and plan accordingly

  • Perform full-scope static and dynamic testing of a system under test utilizing functional and non-functional testing techniques. These techniques can include the following test types: Integration/API, End-To-End, Smoke, Regression/Functional, 508 Compliance, and Usability

  • Document and track testing activity progress during a sprint. This includes capturing execution artifacts to support that all backlog acceptance criteria have been successfully verified/validated

  • Champion quality of software

You Will Bring These Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or greater ideally in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Management Systems, or a related discipline. Will consider experience in lieu of degree

  • 5 or more years of experience in a testing or IT related role and 3 or more years analyzing, designing, and implementing software test solutions

  • Working knowledge and understanding of fundamental concepts of Functional testing, Smoke testing, Regression testing, and Continuous Integration

  • Experience with mobile testing on Android simulators and physical devices

  • Experience with API testing using tools such as Postman or Swagger

  • Experience with web application testing across multiple browsers

  • Experience documenting defects, tracking defects, re-testing fixes, and documenting the progress in Jira or similar system

  • Testing applications deployed to Android mobile devices, tracking test execution, and reporting artifacts

  • SQL CRUD script development experience against Oracle and PostgreSQL databases

  • Applying estimation techniques to manual test script efforts and test script development/maintenance efforts

  • Interacting with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Scrum Masters, Product Architects, Developers, and Technical Writers, and providing guidance on testing methods to meet project specific needs

  • Familiar working within a continuous integration environment and supporting tools such as Jenkins, Git, GitLab, AWS, Postman

  • Participating in a high performing, highly engaged and motivated Scrum team

  • Applying the Agile development approach to incremental software development projects

  • Being a highly responsible, team-oriented individual with very strong communication skills and work ethic; self-starter

  • Understanding the elements of the software development life cycle

  • Communicating in both written and verbal forms

  • Willing and able to a Pass CBP background investigation (U.S. Citizenship required).

These Qualifications Would Be Nice To Have:

  • Familiarity with Android Team Awareness Kit (ATAK)

  • Familiarity with Android automation testing using Appium or Espresso

  • Familiarity with web application automation testing using Selenium, Robot Framework, etc.

  • Working knowledge of version control tools such as git

  • Familiarity with performance testing using JMeter

  • Familiarity with 508 accessibility testing using ANDI

  • Familiarity with iOS mobile testing

  • Working knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and GitLab

Since this position can be worked in more than one location, the range shown is the national average for the position.

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$68,400-$143,700
