CACI International Business Development Executive, ES2 NAVY in Reston, Virginia

What You’ll Get to Do:

The ES2 within the NSIS sector at CACI is searching for an established Business Development Manager with a successful track record in identifying and qualifying Navy and other DOD opportunities, focusing on R&D Engineering as well as Hardware/Software Integration Solutions.

Primary focus will be on the identification, development, qualification, and capture of large, strategic opportunities, valued at over $75M each, while building and maintaining a qualified pipeline of >$75M in annual opportunities. You will work closely with the Executive Director of Business Development to develop an overall Account Strategy and plan to focus on positioning and capturing new business contracts. You will be based at one of our Northern Virginia locations (Lorton, Reston, etc.) and can expect to spend up to 25% of your time on business travel within the continental United States.

What You’ll Get to Do:

  • Build and Qualify DoD, particularly Navy, and DHS Market Business Pipeline. Your primary focus is to build/maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities that align with National Security Engineering Support Services strategic vision for growth within Government marketplace.

  • Create, manage, and implement go-to-market plans (to articulate and generate consensus for strategic vision, action plan, competitive intelligence, investments, business case, etc.) within the Engineering Support Services markets in the targeted agencies.

  • Develop and present milestone briefings to senior management in support of investing in and pursuing strategic opportunities in these markets.

  • Engage customers in identifying and shaping opportunities. This includes active communication of filtered, actionable intelligence back to Sector, BD, and functional group staff.

  • Actively market the Company Brand, establish customer expectations, and shape opportunities by creating white papers, sponsoring in-house demonstrations, and responding to RFIs and similar activities. You will conceptualize the need, organize the correct company participants, and lead the collaboration to completion.

  • Support Captures and Proposals to maintain continuity across the BD lifecycle, enhancing our ability to win as opportunities pass from qualification into capture and then proposal.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.

  • 10+ years performing Business Development (sales, marketing, capture, proposal) activities, especially in Engineering and integration of tactical maritime and weapons systems.

  • Have a strong network of customer contacts and must be familiar with the customer's major programs and upcoming initiatives

  • The candidate should have a working knowledge of the Federal procurement process, and a demonstrated proficiency with Intelligence and Department of Defense strategy and acquisition plans.

  • Demonstrated ability to execute the business development function with minimum supervision.

  • Effective leader/participant in formal presentations to clients and potential teaming partners; proven track record of building winning teams as well as successfully negotiating with potential team members as to roles and participation.

  • Detailed insight into DoD, particularly Navy, and DHS current and future maritime programs is strongly desired.

  • Strong knowledge of naval architecture and engineering; integrated combat systems and ISR systems

  • Understanding of MBSE/Digital Twin; Cyber; Migrating tactical/mission systems to the Cloud; and, Tactical/Mission Software/Systems engineering, sustainment

  • Formal training in the Shipley capture process is strongly desired.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills.

  • Effective leader/participant in formal presentations to clients and potential teaming partners; proven track record of building winning teams as well as successfully negotiating with potential team members as to roles and participation.

  • Must have an active Secret clearance and the ability to get a Top Secret clearance.

  • Top Secret clearance is highly desirable.
