What you'll Get to do:
As a Cloud Engineer you will:
be knowledgeable in the software development lifecycle and be able to design, document and migrate applications, and be familiar with the commercial Amazon Web Services.
support migrations; to include documenting baselines and drafting procedures for migrating both custom developed applications and COTS application suites.
work with the team responsible for Cloud maintenance to define operational procedures.
support the system development efforts in an agile project management framework.
You'll Bring these Qualifications:
Hands-on experience working with an AWS based Cloud architecture supporting secure environments with experience migrating traditional IT infrastructure to the cloud.
Firsthand knowledge of current AWS Cloud offered technologies (Lambda, S3, EC2, EBS, IAM, ELB, etc.).
Hands-on experience leveraging industry standard tools such as Jenkins, Jira, GitHub.
Hands-on experience implementing AWS Cloud Formation solutions.
Demonstrated understanding of complex systems, development and design work that may include computer architecture analysis and design.
Education & Experience Requirements:
12 Years of job related experience and High School/GED diploma
10 Years of job related experience and Associate degree
8 Years of job related experience and Bachelor’s degree
6 Years of job related experience and Master’s degree
4 Years of job related experience and Doctorate
These Skills would be Nice to Have:
Current AWS industry recognized certifications and experience with AWS tools.
Experience with at least one application migration to AWS
Experience with AWS Commercial Cloud Services
Familiarity with development on Windows Server and Amazon Linux Server O/S.
Experience with Joomla
Knowledge of Agile Scrum framework
Experience in implementing small to large-scale custom development and/or systems integration projects in one or more phases of the software development lifecycle.
Understanding of the security processes and procedures followed by the IC Community NIST Standards,
Hands-on experience with DevSecOps commercial best practices.
An outstanding attitude, initiative and ability to work with customers through the entire implementation process.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
The ability to work as part of an integrated team.
