What You’ll Get to Do:

CACI is looking for a well-organized, detailed oriented, and self-motivated professional able to perform well in a deadline-driven, client-oriented, team environment as a Part-Time-on-Call (PTOC) Proposal Desktop Publisher/Production Assistant. In this role, you will provide desktop publishing and production support for new contract and task order proposals. This position may be both remote and onsite in Reston and Chantilly, VA, and Annapolis Junction, MD, as needed.

More About the Role:

  • Provide direct support to the Production Manager and sometimes serve as the liaison between the Proposal Manager and the Production Manager.

  • Review Requests for Proposals (RFPs), identify RFP production requirements, and craft them into proposal templates.

  • Format high-quality documents in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Adobe Acrobat in accordance with solicitation requirements, including using Heading styles to generate tables of contents and other Word functionality for efficiency and quality.

  • Convert Word documents to PDFs, creating bookmarks and verifying error-free conversion.

  • Insert and confirm that final versions of graphics are inserted into documents.

  • Maintain version control of all documents related to proposal efforts.

  • Assist in color reviews and book check for proposal responses.

  • Assemble the final submission files for distribution to the government. This includes final review, tabs, printing, binding, burning CD/DVDs, and shipping.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Typically has 3+ years of experience. May require vocational or technical education in addition to related work experience.

  • 2+ years of extensive proposal production experience in the development of small to large Federal new business and task-order proposals.

  • Advanced knowledge of formatting Microsoft Word documents and Excel spreadsheets.

  • Advanced knowledge of Adobe Acrobat.

  • Organizational skills (e.g., able to work on as many as five proposals simultaneously).

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree.

  • Active Secret clearance.

  • Ability to focus on the work at hand while responding promptly to frequently changing requirements, deadlines, tasks, and instructions.

  • Ability to work occasional nights, weekends, or holidays.

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Ability to work independently in a high-paced, detail-oriented environment as well as part of a team.

  • Strong computer skills.
