What You’ll Get to Do:

As a CACI-Wexford Intelligence Technical Editor, you will provide editorial support for publications and products and work to ensure timely dissemination of products. You will ensure all products comply with the final publication, production, tradecraft, and classification standards as provided by Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA), Intelligence Directorate’s (IN) SOP, Defense Intelligence Enterprise style guides, and Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) issued Intelligence Community Directives. You will organize material and complete writing assignments according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology, maintain records and files of work and revisions. Document office business practices, organizational workflows, formatting, and style standards relevant to support the US Government intelligence production process. Assess the effectiveness of existing editorial processes and how they relate to the overall production and product release procedures. You will provide technical, analytical and management support leveraging intelligence production expertise for data and knowledge integration across various intelligence disciplines. You will review products covering a wide range of intelligence issues and ensure proper structure, sourcing, and citations. You will ensure products are properly organized and you will analyze information, identify significant factors, gather pertinent data, and develops solutions. You will assist in the development of templates and checklists to enable production of consistently high quality products. You will ensure products are properly formatted and uploaded for timely dissemination.

More About the Role:

We are seeking a Finished Intelligence Production Officer to support an IC contract in the McLean, VA area. The selected candidate will be responsible for professionally editing analytical products that support key US national CWMD and emerging threat issues. The Technical Editor will be expected to work in a team environment with government and contractors. You will be expected to review and ensure products align with various SOPs (DIA, NGA, DTRA, etc.), review graphics, including interactive media, assist in the development of visual aids, and ensure proper formatting. You will verify proper sourcing of products and graphics, finalize publications, provide archiving support, track production, document and ensure workflow through the production process, and work within production schedules and coordinate with all parties involved. You may be asked to produce, deliver, and archive finished intelligence publications.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Current Top Secret/Specialized Compartmented Information Security Clearance.

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, or Technical Writing.

  • Basic understanding of MS Word, Excel, and Power Point, Teams, and Adobe Acrobat Pro.

  • Three (3) years of experience writing/editing intelligence documents, summaries, briefings, etc.

  • Professional writing, editing, grammatical and sourcing skills.

  • Knowledge of national security classification procedures.

  • Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing.

  • Ability to work well with others in a team environment.

  • Willing to work rotating shifts if needed - that may include nights and weekends.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Master’s degree in English, Journalism, or Technical Writing.

  • Expert understanding of MS Word, Excel, and Power Point, Teams, and Adobe Acrobat Pro.

  • 6+ years of experience writing/editing intelligence documents, summaries, briefings, etc.

  • Relevant exposure to US foreign policy, national CWMD objectives, and the interagency coordination process.

  • Experience working with HighPoint.

  • 5+ years of experience utilizing ICD standards 203 and 206.
