What You’ll Get to Do:
Technically support the Department of Health and Human Services(HHS), Tracking Accountability in Government Grants System (TAGGS) program. This Agile-environment program is supported by .NET developers, data analysts, and support personnel to build, refresh, operate, and maintain the TAGGS website and data warehouse. The staff also generates a wide range of analytical and reporting products.
More About the Role:
Have familiarity with, and ability to increase expertise, generating SQL and PL/SQL queries to produce tabular reports (exported to Microsoft Excel), and data visualization charts and dashboards (using Tableau, Salesforce, or other visualization tools). Use business-level and information technology analytical skills to identify and recommend process and data quality improvements. From emerging Federal Government legislative initiatives; analyze, determine impact, and report mandatory changes or compliance needs/risks associated with TAGGS data collection, validation, and downstream reporting processes.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Typically has a University Degree (BA/BS) or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years of related work experience.
Collaborate with other program data analysts and software engineers to create and modify validation requirements. Research technology and methodologies, and make recommendations for innovating processes. Periodically perform quality assurance reviews of other team members' analytical and report products.
Practitioner-level understanding of writing SQL and PL/SQL to retrieve detailed or summary information from complex data environment.
Knowledge of programming languages, such as C# or other scripting language
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, and other Office applications
