CACI International Project Manager in Reston, Virginia

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead a team of cyber security engineers working closely with the customer to perform daily management activities to include planning, directing, and coordinating projects and systems engineering efforts in a cyber security environment. As a Project Manager, you will work closely with the customer and others to develop and mature the long-term and strategic objectives to ensure successful project completion, while meeting service delivery due dates, contractual performance criteria, and end user requirements across the contract outyears. In this position, you will be comfortable working in a fast-paced, autonomous IT Security focused team environment.

Your responsibilities will include the following:

  • Performing both, horizontal and vertical integration planning and collaborating with other functional areas to ensure technical solutions and schedules are implemented in a timely manner

  • Conducting direct daily operations to include analyzing workflow amongst project areas and working with the customer in establishing priorities, developing standards, and setting deadlines

  • Coordinating project activities amongst team members and teams in support of the provisioning, design, installation, maintenance, and tracking and monitoring requirements through completion

  • Providing supervision, technical management, training, and direction to staff, as appropriate

  • Identifying and implementing process improvements and efficiencies across the enterprise

  • Ensuring high-quality and acceptable project and engineering efforts are completed by the team

  • Preparing finished deliverables (e.g., status reports, project management plans/gates, and open issues).

  • Ensuring success of Branch and engineering personnel

  • Working with the Branch Lead and project managers to ensure personnel have the appropriate knowledge/skills to perform the assigned tasks

  • Elevating issues to the Branch Lead by documenting issues, as appropriate

  • Providing input to PMRs and ad hoc reports, as required

  • Providing input to weekly reports and quarterly capabilities briefings

  • Understanding the customer’s mission and requirements

  • Establishing and maintaining a close working relationship with customer technical staff

  • Excellent working relationships with customer and all partners

  • Ensuring senior management are always informed of appropriate activities and issues

  • Leading your team to ensure a high performing team

  • Staying abreast of advances in technology and processes

You will have the following experience:

  • Experience working in a dynamic and collaborative environment

  • Extensive experience in the following applications:

  • MS Project Schedule

  • Developing PowerPoint presentations

  • MS Visio

  • Microsoft SharePoint

  • Implementing the customer Project Management Framework and Project Control Gates processes

You will have one of the following:

  • 12 Years of job related experience and High School/GED diploma

  • 10 Years of job related experience and Associate’s degree

  • 8 Years of job related experience and Bachelor’s degree

  • 6 Years of job related experience and Master’s degree

  • 4 Years of job related experience and a Doctorate

Experience with the following is a plus:

  • Collaborating and conducting outreach activities across IT and cyber organizations

  • Collecting, ingesting, analyzing, and visualizing machine data with Splunk

  • Splunk dashboards and creating queries

  • Splunk Enterprise Security App

  • Familiarity working with COTS related security application suites (McAfee, Symantec, etc.)

  • Experience working and collaborating with Computer Incident Response Team (CIRT)

  • Project Management Professional (PMP)
