CACI International Software Engineer in Reston, Virginia
CACI is seeking a cleared Software Engineer in support of an Air Force communications service in Reston, Va. If you are looking for a new opportunity to grow with a highly innovative team, CACI would like to speak with you.
What You’ll Get to Do:
Research, design, develop and/or modifying software systems (e.g., custom, COTS, GOTS) for the Integrated Broadcast Service Network Services (IBS-NS) program.
Present ideas for system improvements, develop cost estimates for software developments or enhancements and conduct impact analysis for software changes.
Produce detailed specifications and writes software code.
Work closely with business analysts, designers, and subject matter experts to understand functional requirements.
Conduct unit tests and documents findings.
Support formal testing in controlled environment before code is promoted to production.
Adhere to program configuration change control standards.
Provide input into training manuals for users.
Work with COTS applications (e.g., Oracle, Solaris, JBOSS).
Write interfaces and conversion routines leveraging the application programmatic interface (API).
Extend applications by using applicable application tools.
Maintain knowledge of feature and technical changes in the application.

You should have a strong background in J2EE development (including web services, JSPs, Servlets, and JMS) and J2SE (including multithreaded, XML, and encryption). Active Secret clearance
6+ years object-oriented design & programming
6+ years J2EE Development
4+ years XML experience
Ability to evaluate, understand and solve highly complex software engineering problems
Experience with Web Development with Java (JSPs, Struts, CSS)
Experience with Multi-threaded programming
Experience with JBoss
Experience with High Availability technologies
Experience with Oracle RDBMS
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Experience with UML and Rational Rose
Experience with Subversion, DOORS
Experience with intelligence systems/broadcasts
