CACI International Software Engineer in Reston, Virginia

Job Description

Join our team as a software engineer, who will develop code, innovative design, and web applications and services from concept to completion.

The responsibilities of this role include:

• Write well-designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices

• Develop and implement web applications and/or web services using object-oriented programming with focus on building RESTful services to support the User Interface (UI), the middle tier, as well as implementing support for data connections.

• Collaborate with Systems Engineers and Developers to develop detail designs and translate, decompose requirements, and develop key features and enhancements

• Perform and align results to specifications and requirements based on technical needs in an Agile team environment

• Troubleshoot and resolve both technical and non-technical issues

• Create and maintain software documentation

• Cooperate with Project Managers and Content Managers to provide continuous delivery for assigned systems

You will bring the following:

  • Demonstrates experience developing within an Agile environment

  • Demonstrates experience with Java development skills within the last 3 years using Spring

  • Demonstrates experience with SecDevOps processes and continuous delivery systems (e.g. Git, Jenkins, CloudWatch, Docker, etc.)

  • Demonstrates experience or certification in cloud technologies, creating self-healing/auto-scaling systems

  • Demonstrates experience in web development, such as JavaScript and JSON

  • Demonstrates experience with database development skills (e.g. MySQL, Mongo, etc) within the last 3 years

  • Demonstrates experience developing micro-services architecture

  • Experience establishing, monitoring, and managing Apache Kafka services

  • Experience utilizing Infrastructure as Code practices

  • Demonstrates experience in web development Angular and Material

  • Familiarity with some of the following technologies: PHP, ASP, .NET. JavaScript, Python, Ruby, HTML, CSS, REST APIs

  • Working knowledge of modern coding practices including development methodologies, test driven development, continuous integration, and proper code documentation

  • Ability to participate in the full software development life cycle (SDLC), including gathering specs, analysis, design, development, quality assurance, and testing and debugging

  • Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment, learn rapidly, and master diverse web technologies and techniques

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Other duties as assigned

Candidate must have one of the following:

  • 10 Years of job related experience and High School/GED diploma

  • 8 Years of job related experience and Associate degree

  • 4-7 Years of job related experience and Bachelor’s degree

  • 3 Years of job related experience and Master’s degree

  • 2 Years of job related experience and Doctorate

It would be nice if you had:
