More About the Role:

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manages the receipt, prioritization, assignment, tracking and completion of all language screening and translation requests received by NMEC

  • Uses and shares responsibility for the oversight of Harmony/Theater Exploitation Database (TED), and its integration with National Harmony database, operational platforms, and other non-NMEC elements

  • Responsible for internal integration of linguist workflow and operations with the NMEC Exploitation Directives List (NEDL)

  • Oversees processing of all eligible translation requests according to standard completion timelines

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Five (5) years’ experience working as a linguist and managing document exploitation (DOMEX) linguist workflow operations

  • Two (2) years’ experience in utilizing human language technology tools and Harmony database

  • Functional capability in one of the NMEC primary languages with scores of at least 2/2 (reading/listening), and 3+/3+ scores in English on the Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR) 5-point scale

  • Must be able to multi-task, prioritize, and handle changing requirements in a dynamic environment

  • Proficient in the MS Office Suite.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in an applicable field of study (intelligence, language, math, science, engineering, business)

  • Two or more years’ experience with Theater Exploitation Database (TED)
