CACI is looking for language professionals to join our team as we prepare to expand our current prime language program with a newly awarded contract with the DOD!

Our Language Instructors develop and deliver language training using a variety of techniques including face-to-face, online, distance, synchronous, asynchronous, and self-paced instruction.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Master’s degree from any accredited college or university.

  • Speaker with native capability in reading, listening and speaking in the standard form of the language to be taught and a minimum ILR proficiency level 2 in reading, writing, speaking and listening in English OR a speaker with native capability in English and a minimum ILR proficiency level 3 in reading and listening in the standard form of the language to be taught. Skill levels must be documented within the last 3 years.

  • Ten years experience teaching adult language education and methodology

  • Four years experience with ISD

Six months experience using appropriate language fonts, keyboards, and language training software.

Job Description:

  • Deliver foreign language training using Government- or Contractor-provided documentation, including assessment plans, instructor guides and student materials;

  • Tailor approaches in accordance with student learning styles and strategies;

  • Work as part of a teaching team, as required;

  • Interact with course developers, curriculum managers, Government instructors, and Contractor instructors to assist with design and implementation of training;

  • Use basic classroom technology to include audio/video/DVD components, and computer applications, such as Microsoft Office;

  • Provide constructive feedback on student progress to the Government. All learning assessments correlate with or directly support unit/topic/course objectives;

  • Deliver instruction via interactive synchronous and asynchronous learning activities;

  • Ensure all course delivery meets standards in ADET Instruction I-04;

  • Teach ISO-Immersions;

  • Use classroom technology such as SmartBoard/Symposium and Blackboard;

  • Supplement instruction with contemporary authentic material;

  • Develop and deliver foreign language courses in accordance with ADET Instruction I-04;

  • Deliver Area Studies content in the foreign language and English as required;

  • Deliver language-related courses (ex. passage rating, translation grading, language assessment and language identification) as required;

  • Develop and deliver Area Studies content in the foreign language;

  • Use courseware development technology such as Sound Forge;

  • Research, identify and provide appropriate contemporary authentic material from various modes of communication to supplement instruction;

  • Use blended delivery modes such as face-to-face, online, distance, asynchronous eLearning technology and self-paced instruction;

  • Conduct content review based on student evaluations and provide recommendations for training material revisions;

  • Conduct periodic course content review and provide recommendations for training material revisions;

  • Provide in-depth explanation of language grammar and structure as evidenced in all mode (speaking, listening, reading, and writing) of the language (both formal and informal);

  • Develop students’ skills in transcription and translation as required;

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on computer for long periods and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face. Some travel may be required.

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$59,100 - $124,100
