CACI International Lead Electronics Technician in San Antonio, Texas
CACI is seeking a Lead Electronics Technician.
What You'll Get to Do:
Assembles and constructs electrical systems, prototypes, and hardware components according to engineering data and knowledge of electrical principles, using hand tools and measuring instruments.
Trouble-shoots and repairs electronic equipment and circuitry, data collection devices, and analytical instrumentation using modern electronic testing equipment.
Determines electronic and electro-mechanical system design and instrumentation needs from limited documentation, written and verbal instructions.
Determines the sequence of operations and provides design details or recommends modifications to engineering designs.
Documents design and modification of equipment and may prepare written guides for proper repair, calibration and maintenance of electronic equipment and systems.
Provide oversight to less experienced Technicians.
You'll Bring These Qualifications:
Experience in assembly of sheet metal fixtures and enclosures, and electronic cables, connectors and circuit boards.
Experience with assembling, wiring, soldering, and crimping per drawing specifications, modification per engineering change notices, and electrical circuit testing.
Thorough knowledge and understanding of engineering drawings and electrical/electronic schematics.
Good communication skills (written and verbal).
These Skills Are Nice to Have
Fabricating and testing RF semi-ridged cables using a vector network analyzer (VNA)
Using a VNA to test the S-parameters RF components
Using a portable, handheld network analyzer to test fielded systems
Experience capturing and archiving measurement data from VNA systems in support of field measurements
Experience fabricating prototype RF assemblies using connectorized components
Circuit board design and fabrication experience
General laboratory support for prototyping electronic systems and subsystems
IPC J-STD-001 (Soldered Electrical and Electronic Assemblies) Certified Trainer
IPC WHMA-A-620 (Cable & Wire harness Assemblies) Certified Trainer
