CACI International Mechanical Engineer - Automated Test Equipment in San Antonio, Texas

Job Description

CACI is seeking a Mechanical Engineer - Automated Testing Equipment in San Antonio, TX. As a Mechanical Engineer within the CACI's Aerospace Solutions Group, you will be responsible for generating Technical Data Packages (TDP) for various DoD test systems. These TDPs will include various drawing types (mechanical, electrical, etc.) and will be generated using 3-D and 2-D design tools (SolidWorks/AutoCAD). You will be part of a fast-paced work environment striving to meet contract deadlines/milestones and work with design engineers to capture design and manufacturing/fabrication specifications. Design work will be required for mechanical systems (Problems faced are difficult but not generally complex; will have general supervision and leads for guidance).

What You’ll Get to Do:

  • Assist Test Program Set (TPS) and other aviation test developers through product life cycle management (concept to delivery) of test systems within cost, scope, and schedule by supporting development of TDPs and mechanical design efforts.

  • Produce drawings in accordance with contractually required processes and military.

  • Interface with customers regarding developmental efforts.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret clearance.

  • Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

  • 3 years (or more) professional experience.

  • Professional work developing mechanical/electrical drawings from conceptual design using SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or other design capture tools (3-D and 2-D drawings).

  • Basic understanding of lab equipment: digital multi-meter, oscilloscope, closed loop.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • An active DoD Secret clearance.

  • Knowledge of MIL-STD-31000B.

  • Knowledge of ASME Y14.

  • Knowledge and use of ISO 9001, AS9100 or CMMI quality process standards.
