The Opportunity:
CACI needs a hard-charging and creative network engineer to assist with critical infrastructure and Industrial Control System (ICS) projects. Primary responsibility will be to architect virtual networks and IT environments that include hardware-in-the-loop for testing SCADA systems, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs), and other automation systems and Operational Technology (OT). Will actively test and operate Hardware-in-the-Loop (HITL) in actual and/or virtual environments within anechoic facilities, laboratories, and at times austere locations to measure the success or failure of newly developed security solutions. Participate in planning events, meetings and conferences; produce comprehensive after-action reports (AAR); brief and provide technical guidance and expertise to military and government leadership on mission related objectives.
Responsibilities:
Ability to act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Network Engineering tasks.
Knowledge of a wide range of communications concepts, principles, and practices to accomplish work processes through the use of telecommunications devices, methods, services, and facilities. Work encompasses complex and uncommon interfaces and policies and practices; sources of technical data to evaluate new devices, proposals, and approaches.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; negotiate complex issues; and maintain good working relationships.
Researches problems discovered by quality assurance or product support and develops solutions to the problems.
Documents engineering work as input for company collateral and patent requirements.
Collaborates with technical writers to create customer-relevant documentation.
Coordinates with project work teams to ensure adherence to policies, achievement of quality targets and delivery on schedule milestones and works with engineering and management team to collectively meet market requirements.
Establishes and maintains inter-organizational and outside customer contacts.
Qualifications:
Required:
BS or AS in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or Sciences and five to seven years of related work experience.
Must be knowledgeable of a wide range of communications concepts, principles, and practices to accomplish work processes using telecommunications networks, devices, methods, services, and facilities.
Experience configuring and managing Testing and Exercise networks.
Experience creating virtualized environments hosted in VMware using ESXi, and vCenter.
Experience building networks utilizing both physical and virtual hardware, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
Experience designing and implementing Active Directory domains, group policies, organizational units, groups, and accounts to customize training and development environments.
Experience with a scripting language. Python highly desired.
Experience using Kubernetes or similar containerization software.
Experience integrating physical hardware with virtual and cloud environments highly desired.
Experience working with Industrial Control Systems and Operational Technology desired.
ACTIVE TS/SCI
Desired:
Security+, Linux+, Network+, Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) are desirable.
An understanding of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning is a plus.

The proposed salary range for this position is:
$65,000 - $136,500
