What You’ll Get to Do:
Distributed Mission Operations Center-Cyber needs a Software Engineer to design and integrate Live, Virtual, and Constructive environments used for testing and training purposes.
More About the Role:
Primary responsibility will be to develop 3D interfaces to support requirements for Joint exercises and advanced cyber and electromagnetic tests, evaluations, and mission rehearsals. The software engineer will design and implement 3D environments in support of ICS/SCADA, Information Technology, and RF systems. Responsibilities will also include assisting with Real-Time Simulators, including Opal-RT’s OP5700 (eMEGASIM and ePHASORSIM software) and Speed Goat. Responsibilities will also include designing virtual network environments in Scalable Network’s EXata Software.
Working with our DMOC-C team to discuss 3D development idea and specifications. Plan and implement 3D functionality. Transform ideas into unique user experiences. Participate in exercise planning, coordination, evaluation, design, and execution with heavy emphasis in cyber operations and mission execution. Supports proposal efforts by significantly contributing technical material to selected proposals and reports to substantiate and secure program funding. Preparing solutions to resolve substantive problems and issues of effectiveness and efficiency of work operations in a major program. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; negotiate complex issues; and maintain good working relationships. Research problems discovered by quality assurance or product support and develops solutions to the problems. Documents engineering work as input for company collateral and patent requirements. Collaborates with technical writers to create customer-relevant documentation.
Coordinates with project work teams to ensure adherence to policies, achievement of quality targets and delivery on schedule milestones and works with engineering and management team to collectively meet market requirements. Establishes and maintains inter-organizational and outside customer contacts.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
3D Modeling and Simulation of RF Systems, ICS/SCADA Systems, and other OT systems.
BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Broad computer science/computer engineering background including broad knowledge of algorithm and data structure implementation.
1 to 3 years of experience with 3D game design and game physics.
1 to 3 years of experience with VR and AR environment design.
1 to 3 years of experience with the Unity Game Engine (Unreal Game Engine considered).
Must be able to get and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Experience in some of the following technology areas desired: Networking, Security, Internet of Things (IoT), and Operational Technology / Industrial Control Systems (OT/ICS).
An understanding of TCP/IP and Networking.
Experience with the Python scripting language.
Experience programming MATLAB/Simulink (2015b or better) desired.
Some experience with Real-Time Simulation is preferred.
Experience working on a SCRUM team or other type of Agile Software Development team.
Network+, Security+, or Certified Ethical Hacker certifications are desirable.
SCRUM master certification is desirable.

This position may require carrying, lifting and moving large, heavy items. Participate in planning events, meetings and conferences; produce comprehensive after-action reports (AAR); brief and provide technical guidance and expertise to military and government leadership on mission related objectives.
